    Nothing even resembling sleet here just very vey heavy rain. It's cold rain though. Temp 5.8 now has dropped from 8 to 5.8 in less than an hour. DP of 5.2

    Just found out the halo round the moon is an ice halo formed by ice crystals. It's really pretty. If you can get a look go out and view it.

    Has anyone seen the meteor tonight or the smaller meteors seen afterwards. I don't think it came this far south but impressive photos on twitter. In other news down here. The moon has a mad really large halo glow tonight here!

    Woken up to light rain this morning. Definitely feeling cooler this morning but not cold.

    Another very misty foggy morning here with a slight ground frost. Roll on a heat wave summer after this winter (well i can live in hope!)

    It's a very murky misty foggy day here on the coast. I can hardly see my neighbours house! Definitely cooler as well.

    I can remember a day in April about 4-5 years ago. It was a Sunday. Woke up at 8. Opened the curtains and it was hammering it down with snow. Ended up with about 5 cms. By 11.00. It had all gone! But our snowman lasted a week lol.

    Thats very true! Not enough on grass to give my new sledge an outing really though. How I dream of dec 2nd 2010 again. That was amazing!!

    Snowed here till about 3am then turned to rain :-( still lightly raining now. So the snow we have got has turned to slush puppy. Hoping it gets colder and turns to snow again! But don't think it will.

    Morning all! After having a rubbish nights sleep lamp post watching. It snowed here till about 3 then turned to rain :-( we still have slushy stuff but the rain is still here so it wont be long till its all gone.

    5/10 here! It's settling on cars and grass and just trying to on pavements. More please! Also I'm desperate for sleep but brain is just thinking of snow so no chance!

    Drastically improved here. Went from o/10 to 5/10 in about 5 mins! Hoping this keeps up for a few hours and doesn't turn to sleet or rain! I am praying it's still there in the morning so my new wedding present of a sledge will get his first outing!!

    If I go on met office recent for Bournemouth. It says 21.00 rain! It wasn't rain it was definitely snow! Silly meto

    Roughly how heavy it is snowing! Give it a grade out of 10. 1 being v v light snizzle type stuff. 10 being a blizzard!

    Hubby just got in from the pub and says its settling on grass but crystallising on pavement and getting very icy underfoot. He had timberland walking boots on and still slipped (admittedly the beer might have had something to do with it!)

    I don't have a clue how I'm gonna sleep tonight!! Got the day off tomorrow so has hubby and daughter has broken up for half term as well so I want family sledging fun! Just wish could see radar on phone. Stupid iPhone having no flash player.

    All but stopped snowing here has settled on cars and grass but not pavements. Hoping for more about midnight. Can't see the radars as on phone. Can anyone see if we will get more at midnight?

    Slowing down here now prob about 2/10. But hoping this is just the pre show and the main event will start about midnight as forcast!
