  1. I'm in Linthorpe and there hasn't been that much of a thaw since this morning. The field across the road is still covered as well as my garden and the pavements
  2. if I'm reading that right, is that 1-5 cm for Middlesbrough?
  3. IS, any idea on what Tuesday and Wednesday may bring? The Met Office have forecasted snow on both of those days in many areas of the region
  4. Do Tuesday and Wednesday look any good for snow just incase tomorrow goes all wrong?
  5. That school always shuts! I went to college in Guisborough which is even higher up than Nunthorpe and that remained open for the majority of the winter of 2009 and 2010. We had to walk around in over a foot of snow and it used to take the college bus 2 hours to travel 12 miles. In fact that college is opening an hour late tomorrow ha ha, here's hoping Teesside University is closed tomorrow.
  6. This band coming from the South looks like it'll be arrving later than expected as it still hasn't reached Yorkshire yet!
  7. One of the schools which is closed tomorrow is located higher up in the area, while the other is not very far from me and is in a low lying location. This will either be a big snow event or a horrow show, which can it possibly be?
  8. Well two schools in my area have announced that they will be closed tomorrow, they must have had a warning or something from local authorities/ Met Office?
  9. Well those in the East Midlands are reporting a blanket of snow already which seems intense, I have a feeling the Met Office have underestimated this.
  10. And Middlesbrough misses the Amber Warning altogether for tomorrow. Cruel.
  11. An amber warning? Why haven't the Met Office updated the warning for our region then?
  12. Where's our amber warning? If this was somewhere further South, they would have had a Red Warning never mind an Amber Warning.
  13. How much snow can we expect then during Sunday night and Monday if things go to plan?
  14. THAW ALERT! THAW ALERT! Thought I just heard an earthquake, looked out of the window and it was only a load of snow falling from my roof.
  15. What is the radar showing for this afternoon and evening? Just as the wind direction becomes favourable, the precipitation decides to dry up. Typical.
  16. Light/moderate snow in Middlesbrough, need these flakes to get bigger
  17. And it's started snowing again in Middlesbrough, light ATM but it should intensify around 12 if the met office forecast is to believed. Aldo the sky looks very pink so something must be brewing
