Blazing sunshine and melting snow on cars, roads, pavements here in E Sheff. Would have been nice to have a big dumping of the white stuff, but this was good enough. Hopefully next weekend might have something to show us.
-
Big fat flakes coming down now at Sheff Airport business park. Maybe him upstairs is listening to us after all.
-
The clouds all over Sheffield look very grey and ominous when looking through tram window, so if they stay around it could be a good covering by the afternoon.
Paths and roads were clear but didn't seem to be melting on other spots.

Started here Worrall way, Covered cars, but seems a little wet. Reasonable sized flakes but again looking to be interspersed with quite a bit of watery snow.
-
Still nothing Worrall way. Hope the expected strong fall tomorrow still materialises as it is cold enough out there

Last night was a huge non event for north Sheffield/Worrall/Oughtibridge area so maybe we can get something later on. It would be nice to have a couple of days of snowfall but until the flakes are falling I won't be holding my breath.
-
Snowing very lightly over by the airport. Thin dusting on the cars.

Blazing sunshine in Sheff.
Cow's are frolicking, birds are tweeting. Huzzah....

Yep, looking out towards the pennines and it's grey low cloud, and there is a very light drizzle in the wind.
Roll on next week by the looks of things so far.

Thanks Shuggee,
Grey and dreary here, no snow, no rain, just cold.

Hi all,
There has recently been an opening of far North, and NW threads, but now I'm a bit stuck. As suggested by a kind soul in the NW thread there was a Yorkshire and Lincolnshire thread last year, so could that be opened back up so we can keep a track on the more local environment?
Thanks all.

This topic splitting is a nice idea, but where do I now look for weather reporting for South and East Yorkshire??
Sorry to drag away from the main topic.

Walking to work and it is getting noticeably colder. Paths are icy but walk-able and all the snow on the grass is pretty much frozen to a dry crust now.
Be careful out there ppl.
