Is the snowy breakdown all over? Is the super undercut (with us on the cold side) a possibility? Who knows. There's about 650 miles in it!!!
Friday looks unpleasant, strong south-east winds, possible blizzards for Highlands
Deep low - 965
Wet and windy. Worried that flood problems will be returning

i'm buying a punch bag !
time for a music interlude

edit: checked 30 mins later, and this link got removed. no idea why
basically it stated tropical or non-tropical, the focus would be the occurrence of hurricane conditions within the warning area
here, i'm not going mad

NHC Hurricane definition change, in the wake of Hurricane Sandy
https://www.facebook...467789106601221
Hmmm, does this re-ignite the debate 1987 Uk storm
Depends if there were any sustained winds 74 mph or higher, i don't think we had that
-
Right then, it's 2:09 can't sleep
Remember Feb 2009
Over to Rob McElwee....

-

There is a video report on BBC
-
Intensifying Sandy, no official hurricane watches / warnings, i find bizarre
Since the storm has accelerated, and the inner core is re-established, it will probably make landfall as a warm core hurricane
look at this

Discussion will go on beyond Sandy, regarding lack of Hurricane Watches / Warnings from NHC
Now for a storm going harmlessly out to sea i understand
I also understand, it could lose tropical characteristics before landfall (no sign of that presently)
People require laymens terms to have the situation explained without getting too technical
My worry is that people will not take this as serious.
I sure the word is getting out anyway, death toll stands at 65

People need to get ready now

radio station in jamaica
damage reports coming in

99L with a 90 percent chance
models disagree, but Mark Sudduth is giving heads up on potential for big impacts
The Perfect Storm - 1991 is mentioned
-
Mark Sudduth at hurricanetrack is planning to head to Bermuda for a Hurricane Intercept
He normally focuses on landfalling US Hurricanes
Thing about a small island is that should a monster hurricane develop, maybe pass, just to the west of Bermuda, so Bermuda is in the north-east segment of the storm (usually the strongest segment) you got no escape options
Should be interesting

All this talk of Cat 2's and Cat 4's. I'd imagine the media are going into over-hype mode over there
I'm a cynic, Isaac has never gotten very well organised, so unless it does develop a vertically stacked inner core, i think
it's possible this storm may not make it to Hurricane status
There was talk of dry air still affecting the storm on the recent discussion i read from NHC
It could still happen, i'll probably look like a fool later on, but that's what i think at the moment
Nightmare to forecast, i accept that. Large uncertanties regards intensity and final landfall at the moment
-
NHC now upgraded it to Hurricane Gordon, they also mention complete disappation later on
Remember Hurricane Vince from a few years back, made it all the way to Spain, as a Tropical System
-
10 days of chasing, and storms every day, twisters, loads of lightning, hail, lots of supercells, and a downpour of Jimbo jokes
I'm a quiet fella, but i really enjoyed it. Loads of memories, eg Paul driving between two supercells to get into better position
Thanks everyone, it was awesome
