  1. Just has another 10 minute shower in Reigate. Looks lovely in the sun now, doesn't appear to be melting.
  2. We are clearly getting very light continuous snow as there is a dusting on everything now - just enough to make the pavements nice and slippy in the morning. It's time for sleep, let's hope there's a few good showers in the small hours.
  3. Indeed there are. I've just realised I need to get my windows cleaned as its really difficult to make out the few flakes that we have at the moment!
  4. That would be good but the wind is from the NE in Reigate at the moment so I don't think it would hit us. Just got a few flakes at the moment.
  5. Dew-point in Reigate was -3 at noon, now -6. Temperature hit a high of 5 and now dropping. Wind is resolutely ENE.
  6. 0.8c and dew point 0.0c, settling on cars and grass now and as my mum used to say "the sky looks full of it"
  7. Can't sleep, very mild 11c, gusts at moment 35mph in Reigate.
  8. Snowing reasonably heavily in Reigate, very windy and settling in cars and grass but not roads. Temp is currently 1.1c
  9. It's come down Reigate Hill, there's a few flakes blowing around!
  10. 3.6c now at RGS. Also netweather has a 60% chance of snow later this afternoon. BBC also forecasting snow for us tomorrow, maybe we will get something!
  11. Lovely to see all of the photographs of the snow. Just rain here in Reigate but the wind has got up in the last 10 minutes or so.
  12. Good while it lasted, starting to turn into a slushy mess now. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
  13. I'm amazed at how quickly it went from rain to snow. Within 5 minutes my wind screen went from all rain to rain/sleet then full on snow. Settling nicely but kids outside ruining the pristine whiteness
  14. Haha, it's like that every year...anyway back in the real world we've been having some short but hard showers for the last half hour or so.
  15. Thanks for a highly informative and, importantly for me, educational post Tamara. Rather nice day today with plenty of sunshine.
  16. That's a shame, Leeds castle is lovely but not for a wedding fair, that's a good day out ruined! 4.5c here, quite bright. Despite living quite close to the mighty Reigate Hill there is no 8 inches of snow!
  17. Spring is definitely on its way, saw pigeons on the fence outside my office trying to make whoopee, well he was, she was having none of it!
  18. Chilly walk back from the centre of Reigate, lovely clear sky so plenty of stars to see, mist was rising in the local churchyard, very atmospheric.
