In general I agree with such sentiments, but right now I can't wait for them southwesterlies. Bring 'em on and get rid of this endless tedium of cold windy greyness! 2 degrees warmer than it ever got here!
Guess what? Dull, grey, windy and cold again. I doubt we"ll get above 12C again today. According to Met Office, we might see the sun briefly on Tuesday afternoon. An epic "warm spell" indeed for East Norfolk!

After 3 weeks of Arid Acle well and truly living up to its name, it's now been raining non-stop for over 24 hours. That rain has been turning more to sleet and wet snow over the last hour and a half. Now laying very slushily on cars, grass and roofs

A couple of light showers of snow grains here this morning. Had nearly enough of this for now; need to get the garden tidied up and would prefer to do this without the sort of windchill we've got today!
