I have notified to Ivan that there is a storm approaching from the NW on his cam and he has homed in on it. i am stormrunnersi.

I had another sneaky nip out of work again today around 4-ish as i noticed that it was getting dark and i could see as big black cloud to the north through the bay door look at this monster,any reports of thunder around that time up here?

Evening all some good pics on here today and thanks,much appreciated i kept on popping out since my evening break to take some sneaky pics without the foreman catching me lol i knew a storm was to my east and i caught this little fella,sorry for the crap images as i took them on my crappy i3 phone then this sunset anvil to the west about 8-ish so that looks like that is it for the foreseeable,will we get another chance,plenty of time yet.

I remember that 2008 storm some 12 years ago when i was with my brother and there was an almighty bang or two that it shuck the floor,the sound doesn't do it justice on this clip prob due to s**t tech back in the day,but this would of sounded awesome if it was recorded by today's standards. i don't know if it was a +cg out of the camera view back then but there was a flicker of IC in there. Edit:just running that clip again and my brother said that it was running down the side and presumably down the right hand side as there was a big flash before the IC in the clouds,it would make sense that there was a +cg there out of the cam.

Yes that looks that way,if you have a positive strike it tends to be louder it's the same if you have positive IC the thunder would be louder the storm i had the other morning was mostly elevated with a few rumbles and i suspect that they where mostly -IC but boy i did here a few big booms to my south and you just know that they where +CG's with big bright repeated flashes,you just know when the big daddies strike.
