    Skies looking very threatening south of here with some huge towers going up.The sky has gone very very dark but no action as yet.Really muggy feel to the day as well.

    It's rained continuously now for 20 hours with rainfall amounts currently at 24mm with the gusty NE wind making it feel distinctly cold.Plenty more rain to this week as well by the look of things!!

    Well it's shocking here at the moment,cold grey with a gusty NE wind with steady rain.Gauge has now collected 16mm of rain with a temperature of just 13C.Local street parties have been moved to tomorrow.Let's hope things improve for then!!

    Heavy rain started around 11pm last night and it's still pouring now.Rain Gauge has collected 14mm so far.Wind is from the NE with a balmy temperature of 12 degrees.

    Seem to be some cells developing east and south east of here with plenty of towers visible.Still very warm and muggy at the moment with plenty of blue sky.Not had anything decent here for around 2 months now!!

    Steady rain just starting to fall here feeling quite cold now with the wind,no showers here today but had some threatening clouds late evening onwards.

    Really strange huge black cloud has bubbled up over Derby with clear skies all around!,no rain as yet but the wind has really grown in strength from the south,reminds me of those spaceships in Independance Day!!

    It's gone extremely dark here now,had a heavy downpour around 5.30 but no thunder.Looking much more promising now though.

    Just had pea sized hail before turning to rain in a sudden downpour,showers getting really lively here now.

    Will keep you posted on the East Midlands area,currently we have a torrential downpour just north of Derby but no hail or thunder as yet.Winds seem alot stronger than yesterday blowing from the NW

    Short sharp shower of hail here,giving temporary covering on grass,distant rumble of thunder probably over Eastwood 10 miles SE of here.

    Sharp shower consisting of rain and hail,squally SE winds,really dark storm clouds probably 20 miles NE of here,Mansfield area?!

    No showers here in Derby as yet but 2 huge towers visible.The one to the south east is producing dark streaks of virga,winds strengthening from the South east
