Starting to brighten up after a dull and damp day so far with rain and drizzle on and off. Doesn't even feel cold at the moment. 8.2°C.

Hardly surprising the way his winters gone so far. It’ll be interesting to see the reviews of this winter when it’s over, probably wildly different depending on where you are.

And if it gets stuck like that like it probably will, we'll be back to no weather for ages again.

Caught this shower from Portsdown Hill earlier, apparently quite a bit of hail from it.

For my location I’d rate it 1/10. It only gets a 1 for the tiny bit of sleet a few nights ago. Of course if I was further north I might’ve rated it differently.

Sat up on Portsdown hill at the moment. This is probably the shower @Dorsetbredhad over there not long ago.

They only get it wrong when it does show snow south of the M4.

I did wonder why the grass was a strange white colour earlier. Thanks for the heads up.

Finally an air frost this month with a low of -0.1°C. Sunny with clear skies so far today.

Thought we might at least see a ground frost when the temperature started dropping quickly earlier but that didn't last long, got down to 3.3°C and now it's back up to 3.8°C.

I was surprised when potential snow for Saturday was mentioned on BBC South Today this evening as well, although again it was stressed it was most likely to be rain.

I noticed the sky earlier this evening but couldn’t get s picture of it. Looked very strange with those dark orange colours.

Quite a temperature drop here in the last half an hour as a couple of showers passed over. 10.0°C to 6.4°C.

Certainly a windy night last night although I think I missed the worst here. Mostly sunny so far today, not that cold although the temperature is a bit lower than it was overnight.

Seem to be in a bit of a lull at the moment, still windy but not as windy as half an hour ago.

I'd say your sensor isn't far off.

Shows how it is at the moment, rain arrives up north and the temperature starts dropping and rain turns to snow, rain arrives here and the temperature rises quickly. I need to stop looking at the northern threads.
