  1. really hate the bbc forecasts, the snow precipitation looks nothing like the radar precipitation and looks nothing like how it will probably pan out...
  2. Yeh, isn't the front supposed to stall. I had it down for stalling across the west of uk like west midlands, and the south? I can't tell where the front is going to go, it won't keep going east will it? Pushes north?
  3. I am west of Leeds in Kirklees so I reckon we could see it fall around 12ish? Then snow all through the night and early hours by the looks of the forecasts.
  4. Is it me or does the front look totally different to how they predicted? Its looks like its starting early for us in the west and south of region too. Could be a load of snow today for us
  5. wow this is a surprise :o :o and the snow is blowing near me\!!!
  6. Yeh, if carries on the way it is, they might bother end up expanding together, I hope never know.
  7. its very slow moving and im thinking, what if this front and the main front expands together?
  8. wow everyone has been caught out with this feature :o judging the radar this could go on past midnight this precipitation, very slow moving and intensifying.
  9. Just think, January 5th 2010 it snow from 7 till 3 o clock and brought nearly 30cm in 8 hours, this could be a 24 hour event and blizzard conditions look likely as well and possibly snow into next week!!!
  10. The pattern is shifting west nearly every run, as long as we see this in future runs on the models, the more colder options will start to appear on the table. Ita pretty simple if I am honest, thats pretty much what we need. The ecm is a brilliant run for coldies, but its only time, until we start to see some wild cold option showing for next week if i am honest. Just got this suspicion. Lets face it, if that ecm run came of between 168 hours to 216 in particular, it would be nothing like we have seen in recent cold winters. It reminds me of the 80s winters, 1978/79 and the very famous 47, with the succesion of low pressure to the south. I wonder if this might be the year we have a winter like that, where as recent ones have been mainly associated with greenland blocking and northerlies outbreaks.
  11. Are you being serious? The whole run is brilliant for cold and snow potential!!
  12. Its awful isn't it, its becoming a ball ache viewing this thread before looking at the models when I am at work as well. i see all these comments about things downgrading and then why I look people are talking absolute nonsense! At least view the whole run before making comments what don't reflect what the models show
  13. You see this is why i stopped posting on here very often, because people are not reading the charts properly. The -5 850 is over most of the Uk by Monday, nevermind it struggling to reach Devon on Tuesday.
  14. Frigg me! What an astonishing run. MIND BLOWING. Can you imagine the chaos that would bring to the uK, interruption to christmas shopping period, as it will be nearly running up to christmas, all sporting events football etc cancelled and travel and work chaos. But its fine by me!
  15. lightning and thunder and torrential rain for 15 mins, just woke me up! very loud. Can we expect any more thunder and lightning from this system. It is truly very wet outside and i am beginning to worry.
  16. More storms pushing up from midlands and pushing up to Yorkshire. Maybe thats why its dark here. Heres hoping.
  17. anyone else in west yorks or south yorks gone very dark??? Its that really quiet sound too outside when you sense something happening.
  18. How on earth have i managed to miss anything half decent? Seriously? Plain bloody rain atm, is there any hope yet for this area. You look forward to it for days and nothing comes of it. The bbc weather sitehas heavy and thundery showers from 3 till 6 tonight, so I don't know?
  19. Love how everything has just skirted past the Dewsbury area where I am. Bloody typical.
  20. Can someone give me a rough time or idea when the action will all kick off for this area tomorrow? thanks
  21. Looks very interesting for the whoe of north of england Thursday day and thursday night. Hopefuly some massive thunder and lightning storms for us all! You can't beat those long hours of thunderstorms at night lighting up your room!
  22. With the way summer has been shaping up, just thought I would get you all in the mood for winter LMAO!!! http://modeles.meteociel.fr/modeles/cfs/run4/cfs-0-4494.png some exceptional cold charts showing for december, but we can hope haha.
