  1. Does anyone have the full lightning strike map for today? I know we were on 44000 strikes earlier and that was before this afternoons storms kicked off
  2. Not my day today, missed out on marble sized hail back home and now im 20 miles too far North of the Spalding storm
  3. Friends of mine reporting marble size hail in Chesterfield. Waiting patiently to see if anything makes it to Lincolnshire
  4. Chesterfield looks like its in a good position for that storm, shame im not there
  5. 44000 strikes is a good amount for any UK storm day, especially for a northern event also
  6. Well being in Lincolnshire it looks like tomorrow afternoon will provide a slim chance of a storm for me. Typical really that i spend a week in the storm capital of the UK and we get a western setup
  7. Will the eastward shift happen!? Its all to play for yet... I can see it now, Derbyshire gets a biblical storm whilst im here in Lincolnshire.
  8. Can anyone summarise the current thoughts for Tues night into Wednesday? Iv got limited internet access so bit difficult to check the models
  9. Well im in Lincolnshire this week so regardless of what the charts say, my hopes are high
  10. Nothing here, a few heavy showers today and its very dark to the south but no thunder
  11. Large funnel cloud reported in Chesterfield earlier today
  12. Really interesting map, makes me wonder if there is a comparison out there with data for 1997 - 2016
  13. Interesting video from yesterday, not uploaded by me Not sure about the claims of a supercell, anyone care to comment views on this?
  14. Some heavy rain and T&L here again, roads cant deal with this amount of water at all, localised flooding as expected. Been a good week for storms, lets hope that this is the starter and the main course is on its way over July & August
  15. Heavy shower here no thunder though, active cell to the West over Buxton
  16. I was messing around with the ATD Lightning archive yesterday, looking at the most active days of the past 4 or 5 years, and realised that it would take something really special to beat June 28th 2012 in terms of storm intensity.
  17. Thunder & Lightning here, and i now have my own personal lake in the garden. Cant complain its storm #2 of the year so far
  18. Heavy rain here from a cell developing overhead, no strikes yet
  19. Some strong radar echos over Lincolnshire, something is developing right overhead here also
  20. Dark skies to the south, some sferics over Mansfield way but nothing here as of yet
