    Been snowing here since about 11am, nothing setting though suppose we knew this would be a high ground event and it just shows how well the peak district can do when it comes to snow!

    Swap places with me, its snowing here but not sticking, yet about 5 miles up the road its a few inches deep!

    I think we need to know a few more variables, such as the length of a piece of string and perhaps the price of chips?

    As is often the case with snow, we could be so close, yet so far away. Every time it snows up on the tops i hear the words "its a different world up there" from somebody in my family

    Id guess that Buxton is in for a good chance of snow tonight, the euro 4 seems to be the only model pushing it way further North Here in Chesterfield, its a case of so close, yet so far away (300m lower)

    If some of the charts come off, the Peak District is in for its usual pasting, exiting times ahead for any snow lovers though!

    Very light here but the radar looks promising, precip building behind the main band, and the stuff over the North West hopefully heading this way

    UKMO Precip charts showing a large amount of heavier stuff to the west at 22:00 onwards, if its as far east as the current stuff, we will be bang underneath it... Theres a long way to go yet, people need to chill, excuse the pun.

    Have faith! it will get here later Met Office not forecasting any snow for us until 19:00 so any before that is a good sign

    Feeling quietly confident that we will see some snow on Thursday/Friday around the North Midlands / South Yorkshire

    Thursday and again Saturday looking like a chance of snow for here
