  1. I know it's still too early, but what are the current signs that point to a colder than normal winter, and the signs that point to a milder than normal winter?
  2. What's exciting or interesting about a sunny Autumn day?
  3. I would like to defend James Madden, his winter forecast for winter 2009 and 10 were correct, so where his forecast for Summer 2012
  4. Wasn't mid December 2009 a complete surprise? only a week before it happened a few signs showed, 2 weeks before it happened nobody had a clue. Which is why when Winter is 7 weeks away, it is very daft to say the Winter is over or that we wont get any cold to late winter. The weather is unpredictable and always will be.
  5. the vortex would not shift..causing the ice melt to take effect.
  6. yes but the cost is not the thing to worry about..its the cheese.
  7. I would like the Jetsream to be much further north than usual, carrying the wind and the rain with it, over the top of mainland Britain (sorry shetland isles). Which would allow the southerly air to steam in bringing much warmer tempartures and below average rainfall. Temperatures getting up to 32C in the south and 28-29C to the north. I would also like snow to fall in the middle of July
  8. No need to bite my head off, just my views. Not everyone forecasts a cold winter every year.
  9. Stratosphere not looking good, cooling looking likely i believe
  10. Already getting highs of 11-12. Dry and Yorkshire lol
  11. What max temperatures would we be looking at if that happens.
  12. It's clear and cold, 6C! shouldn't live in the city Aaron
  13. UK Outlook for Wednesday 24 Oct 2012 to Wednesday 7 Nov 2012: 'Indications are that through the end of October and into early November mixed autumnal weather will dominate across the UK. There will be some dry and bright periods, interspersed with showers or longer periods of rain. Overall the rainfall signal is for near normal amounts. Temperatures are likely to be below or perhaps at times well below average for the time of year, with some chilly nights possible and the risk of some wintry showers for upland parts of Scotland.' Looking good! well below average temperatures in November and you never know what might happen
  14. Will be interesting too see what the met forecast charts say when they are updated later this month.
  15. Interesting tweets from Joe B, how you can know what will happen this far out though, so many factors could change.
