Evening all!!! Snow just started to fall here now.

I know this is not totally model related so sorry mods ( delete if applicable) but does anyone know where Mr Murr has gone? Really appreciate his comments on the models as I do the rest of you.. Keep up the good work!!

SW exiting SE Greenland heading SE with heights pushing up behind them..Good start to the ECM so far.

Morning all!! The fun (if you can call it that) continues this morning. So the UKMO holds steady with the cold theme as does the ECM in a fashion with slightly milder air trying to push in to the south west next Thursday before the return of colder air on friday ( still not as cold as it has been showing due to a push east of the real cold stuff). GFS ( the pioneer of this cold theme) is still showing a fairly Atlantic driven theme as it has been over the last 4 runs or so and now has a little backer in the NOGAPS.. Personally I believe we have another 48 hrs worth of runs to finally decide which of the major 3 models has it so badly wrong ( please be GFS) so all is not lost as yet, keep calm and try not to do yourself any injuries..

I know it's +240 but if that chart comes off on ECM we will well and truly be a nation of igloos!!!

Looking at the 0z run on ECM compared to tonight's 12zrun has the projected south- easterly starting over Cornwall/ Devon on the 17th been brought forward by 24hrs??? Very similar ... What a run!! 18z GFS has got to come back towards the ECM.

Looks like the ECM is sticking to its guns this morning!! Greenland high inbound from +144 onwards

I know exactly what you mean..After the failed BFTE it was a real cracker in the nuts!! Said to myself then leave the models fora week but that still hasn't happened!! Lol ( not knocking the cold spell we did have tho,cracking frosts )

If you follow Joe B astardi on Twitter, in the last 3hrs he has tweeted map of snow/ cold wave for UK and NW Europe within the next 8 days..so it certainly looks like he is singing from the cold hymn book aswell..as for the models like many have said before let's all be patient and enjoy the ride..

i think it is getting pulled apart by the regeneration of the blocking high.....

Evening all new poster here..hope everyone is ok and not to damp..well what a couple of days hey!! River Severn looks well up since this morning and back in Worcester where I live it's just started raining again...would not want to live in Tewkesbury at the moment!!!
