The precipitation shows no sign of stalling or moving south, is this due to happen or have i got it all wrong?

It's where a low pressure system slides under high pressure to the south of the uk and pulls in cold air from the east, it can produce a good dumping of snow if conditions are right. :-)

Sandy won't directly bring snow and due to it's NW path i don't think it will have much of an effect on our weather if at all, however if she had moved out into the atlantic it could of caused WAA towards Greenland, which could of encouraged more height rises over Greenland which in turn could have given us colder prospects down the line.I for one am not used to snow falling in October and I can not find a chart like it for this neck of the woods , very remarkable!
perhaps you can post other charts of more remarkable years for your part of the globe as it is natural to lean towards what effects us personally.
Moving away from remarkable or not a question
Has hurricane sandy any chance of bringing snowy weather for us in the coming days by bringing cold air from Greenland or is the air warmer because of being from an ex hurricane?

I definately won't discount any forecast until spring but to me this forecast looks like it has been based soley around the CFS model as there are at least 4 other LR models showing a blocked winter. Any thought's? Oh hi by the wayThis might get some people talking....

As ever not much information with regards to why they suggest this, but still a reputable company/organisation none-the-less and they have as much chance of being right than someone going with the colder option. It's certainly a prediction which goes against all or most of the signs up to present day anyway...

I may be wrong but I believe the normal place of residence for the PV is over Greenland and it is the warming events that can weaken/displace the PV, I may be wrong so if someone more knowledeable can correct me that would be great.just a quick question. is it possible that the pv could set up shop say over siberia or northern canada. or does it usually set up over greenland most of the time. im sure if it set up shop over siberia that would allow stronger heights to build over greenland. is this right?
