Now casting situation for the next few days, don't think any model or forecaster is going to know for sure what will happen in the next week so keep your eyes on the radar.

As i though, too far north. Oh well, more opportunities to come.
-
Bah!! Just too far north here. The top may just skim us.
-
Is it just me that can see that slight eastward direction change of the core? Or is that just wishful thinking as Barnsley will just miss out at this rate.

well the polar low has been picked up on in the MOD thread and after discussion on if it was an actual polar low, it has been decided that indeed it is lol, getting giddy hoping it will bury our region hehe
I fear we may be just that little bit too far north but Sheffield/North Derbyshire looks prime. We shall see
-
omg, its 4.9c and there is graupel comming down and covering, how can that be when its so warm?
Dew point at a guess.
-
Temps up and down here with each sunny spell. Everything is just slush. That thin band approaching looks to be broadening a little bit.
-
Radar showing the northerly feed starting to push south which will push the streamer south at a quicker pace fairly soon, then all eyes on this trough over Scotland.
Snowing lightly here again. We have about 2cm which is frustrating as the steamer is only just under us.

Snowing lightly here, no settling just instant melt pouring of the tree's.
-
Well the snow has stopped here after a good 24 hours constant, very impressive. Temp is at 0.7 and water is pouring off everything still.
-
Still snowing on and off here, about 2 inches fell. Rapid thaw in progress though.
-
Close, but no cigar for us here. A slight dusting and the next heavy ppn to skim to the right of us. Drats
-
Hmmmm, it's starting to look more fragmented again. Great to watch though
-
Well that front has to get it's act together then and pep up a bit which it does seem to be doing. Here's hoping.
-
Yep, that front is being obliterated, may get a flurry out of it but that's all. Currently sunny but clouding over gradually.
-
Yep EURO4 shows front won't Reach Yorkshire.
Oh well..
Front looks unhealthy as it is.. we may get a dusting but that's all.
-
I'm interested to know what that leading wave in front of the main front is called? It peps up the local precipitation as it goes through on the radar.
-
Well last nights wind was nothing special here, fair bit of rain though. All calm but wind should pick up again in the next few hours.
-
Well the wind has picked up a lot but it's no way near the strength we experienced the other day. I guess the peaks are taking the punch out of it.
-
Eerily quiet here.. Just a gentle breeze now and then.
-
Perfect Sheffield shield in force.

Just managed to clip the main storm. Pretty decent elevated lightning and one CG. Good outflow too so don't see it dying away just yet. Looks like Goole to york seeing the most frequent lightning soon.
-
Looks like it's taken a NNE turn. Getting black to the SW here with distant booming.
-
The track looks like it will pass to the east of Sheffield in to Doncaster. Will be too far east for us. At least i will see it from a distance.

Very impressive shelf cloud and rotation from the storm just past us. Very active
