  1. Yet the wirral etc 16m asl can achieve a decent covering. wow. Anyone who hasn't seen the snow tonight will be clueless come the morning when it's -6 and very very icy.
  2. Well in North Leeds here it's been snowing all evening at 145m (moortown, alwoodley). Settled nicely with air temp of -0.3 and dew of -0.4c. But sadly now the temp is 0.3c and dew point 0.4c. The lovely dusting has gone whilst still snowing. Mid winter in a proper cold week and still we can't be on the right side of marginal. It's crazy isn't it. We'd be quite deep here by now if temps had been low enough. Seem to be in that streamer that's developed. Paul hudson got it wrong yet again.
  3. And its all going to pot already. We are use to it to be fair aren't we.
  4. Hmm sat under a trough again-looking snowy HOWEVER last two times its been sunny and dry lol.
  5. Meaning?? I am watching the radar loop. But could this be a south yrks event?? Hence why the meto didnt shift the warning area north??
  6. Had 2-3 snow events a few years back that meto never advertised. I even called them to say how poor their forecast was! It was deep too. Not seeing or feeling it tonight though. I think far north of england place to be. Sooo frustrating indeed!!
  7. Weve had proper snow events here in the last few years with no warnings at all, but at least had the uppers in place. Take it down meto. Its laughable.
  8. This will be again, i promise you. Yet another huge met office fail! They are simply covering their backs. There will be no snow, it will be rain. And no freezing rain at that. 3-12cm of snow. OH COME OFF IT. all charts show a patchy band of rain moving through. This was meant to be a significant snow event turning to rain. Again what a waste of a cold spell to go out on a dud. Why that band of rain de-intensifies is sods law. If it were mild, that front would be bringing in heavy rain. All believable really isnt it. Weve even just had a rain shower here with still some white frost pockets on the ground.
