  1. Small top ups of 3-4cm's even into the weekend? That easterly this weekend is looking quite potent. There is a potential for more heavy snow from the north sea for a large part os SE England and East Anglia. Potential for all sorts of streamers to set up.

This afternoons snow in the SE will prob be a couple of cm's but this weekend could be a lot worse.

I think a lot of Norfolk will do quite well in the next few days but can see it being a bit hit and miss here again. As to the weekend I supose that will dissapear, as there was talk that this area would get a pasting tomorrow on here, that has changed .......

  2. The snow is only 30 miles to our N.

This band is already slowly showing signs of widening as suggested by the GFS. However if your expecting 20cm falls then your out of luck. During today and into the rest of this weekend its going to be a case of several 3-4cm falls constantly topping up our lying snow.

Yesterday proved that nowcasting is far more important than using the Met O warnings or the BBC white blobs. Im sorry but far too much attention is put on the BBC graphics when you should be concentrating on what is exactly happening.

Must admit dave did rather get my hopes up for at least a few inchs after Reading all the hype on this forum! sometimes it's difficult not to watch the BBC and get dissapointed or excited, as they should be getting the details right. I always find that you get it right more then the BBC or met. Cheers for the reply will keep my fingers crossed

  3. Obviously you haven't seen that band of snow just to our N which is expected to intensify over our region and move S today. Also the Met O forecast says outbreaks of snow moving W tomorrow.

Dave just don't think we will get any mate, if we do it will just be a few cms :D if I am wrong I will buy you a few beers

also the beeb had nothing for us tomorrow as it does not reach us

Absolutely knew this was coming earlier on....I deserve a medal

Red now for most home counties and more of the SE.

I do expect this risk still to transfer a little further East and south but as i said and make no mistake the home counties are really in the firing line tonight....

well the mets latest update has taken Peterborough off the warning altogether now, my location is now a horrible green.......... :yahoo:

  5. Just checked my lamp post and its now snow.

If everyone looks at the radar at 18.30 this is the position that its going to roughly remain for the time being except the area near me may move slightly further NW. Now at the moment its mainly blues on the radar which is rather disappointing. However it doesn't mean it will remain this way because we could see areas reintensify.

Decent snow now falling with temps at -1C!

Strange! its still sleet here, only a mile n a half from you. just goes to show!!
