  11. i think Eastbourne area got lucky today as the back build is still over us and has been moderate to heavy snow all-day! around 10cm has fallen today! makes up for friday where we got 0.5cm!
  12. temp - 0.1 d p - 3.4 and i would say slightly west surrey!
  13. it had stopped snowing but has started again, but the temp here is now 0.3 and i am hearing drips!
  14. at the moment there is a dusting and the flakes are getting bigger
  15. posted by ian in sw thread good news if on the coast! : 'Strong signal for snow inland on IOW in UKMO UKV & UK4 modelling. Basically, increasingly marginal for coastal snow as you head further W towards Portland, Lyme Bay etc and less marginal as you head further E where sea track reduces and thus degree of boundary layer modification from continental feed. Hope this helps clarify!'
  16. met office's 3-5 day forecast: 'A strong, bitterly cold wind developing Friday, and also with snow spreading eastwards. Less windy for Saturday, and also becoming milder, with rain expected later Sunday'
  17. i don't know how true this is but it looks like on the coasts for tomorrow we have a risk of snow showers for where i am anyway , well according to the met offices updated map
  18. people who are wondering about will it snow on the coast etc if the models are correct (se) direction then it should stay as snow not just because it will be cold but we are closer to France (and the continent ) so there is less ocean to cross so stays colder. where as from the south west there is alot more ocean to cover so more warmer air can be collected so turning it to sleet or rain (unless there is severe cold) but where i am the downs do have a big impact on quite a wide area.
  19. well it looks like me and coast will be dancing if that comes of!
