Oh, oh, we might a little sprinkling tomorrow in this neck of the woods (Anglia). I know it is not the 6 feet we were going to have via the crazy easterly but better than nothing, possibly.
I have no idea about these charts, but isn't that one showing a small chance of snow for Tuesday, not tomorrow?

8c this morning, feels almost balmy after the last few day. At least I won't be giving any of my hard earned cash to the energy companies today.

Just read on the model thread that there could be a cold spell coming in the next 7-10 days!
Thanks for the update. I think I'll get my swimming trunks, sandals, and Ambre Solaire at the ready then.

Wow! I saw the exact same seagull outside Superdrug in Great Yarmouth this afternoon (same hat)
I thought Great Yarmouth seagulls wore hoodies, and carried a can of Tennents Extra at all times.

I nearly fell of my chair laughing...
was it a 'special' seagull?, squarking with a siberian accent
It was wearing a scarf and hat, and was looking at the Netweather Model Discussion thread on its iphone.

I just saw a seagull, this is a sure sign that we will be getting that Beast from the East after all. Yes I know I live in Lowestoft where there are thousands of seagulls but that doesn't matter.

Indeed Dexter, never know might see the odd flake inland floating around in the wind Tues/Wed, but don't hold your breath.
On a positive not I have a flight to catch at Stansted on the 16th, had been looking very bad that day on this Tursdays runs, and I could see myself spending 3 days stuck at the airport, so there is always a silver lining....
In fact I had kept my big gob shut about the Beasterly with mates and family, just making vague comments on it turning colder, but they were all ears since they know that I follow the models. Well Thursday evening I let rip with my intense cold, blizzards, even record breaking and Dickensian story, what a mug.....WILL I EVER LEARN????
I did the same thing, told everyone we were heading for Arctic conditions. Never, ever, ever again. Why do they bother looking at these models? It must be some kind of addiction problem.

So we have gone from a "Beast From The East" to Mild Atlantic in 2 days. Not bad, don't you just love "science?"

Note to myself: I must remember this brilliant song by The Who next time I look in the Model Discussion place.

Went to work today and informed everyone that they should expect some dramatic weather next week for Lowestoft, the most easterly town in the UK, with lots of snow and Siberian temperatures hitting us from the east. "Where did you get this information?" they asked. From the Netweather Model Discussion I replied. I think I'll keep my head down on Monday.

Just had a quick read of the Model Output Discussion, as usual I'm still none the wiser about what the weather will be like next week. A bit milder in Lowestoft this morning, no frost on the car, which is a bonus.

Pouring with rain here in Lowestoft.

Snowing here in Lowestoft.

I have lost confidence in trying to predict future weather patterns by observing the behaviour of seagulls. I'm now using beavers. If a beaver cuts his supply of wood, and prepares his house 1 month earlier than in a mild winter it is a sure sign that it will be a harsh winter. I'm now off to find a beaver to ask him if he has built his house earlier than usual.
