Ugh tonight I literally watched it snow on the horizon the the north, and on the radar round the corner. At least the last couple of years there has been no snow at all, this winter it seems to be just within reach and then gone. So this SSW thing? Is it actually going to bring me some snow? Would be so grateful for someone to actually explain it in basic English??

The sun is out here in Tunbridge Wells now. I give up on this snow. When’s the next chance?

Facebook has just greeted me with ”good evening. Are you ready for the snow in Kent tomorrow?” What do they know that I don’t?

Does anyone use Weather Live App? I signed up for a free trial this week, and it is forecasting heavy snow for me (Tunbridge wells) tomorrow morning at 9am. I’m trying to work out which model it uses cos none of my other apps or websites agree.....! Cant see it will happen, but it’s a very pretty graphic!

Just out of interest, and I have most of them, which would you say is your favourite weather app and which has been the most reliable this winter? Accuweather keeps telling me that it will snow in 5 minutes and so far no snow has materialised which is v annoying!

So is it all over before it began? ???

Hello - serial lurker here, I read all the time but never post as such a novice. Feel like I know you all though! Just wondered is there any chance of snow for Tunbridge Wells later today or tomorrow? All my apps say different things now. Such a snow lover here.... it’s been lovely to see all the pics of the magic white stuff but I must admit I’m feeling glum not to have seen a flake!

Hello all! It's winter and it's getting colder so I'm back! There is a hint of snow in the forecast and despite the fact that I feel it unlikely to be worth getting excited about I am on tenterhooks! Love snow!!! Will keep you posted on any white stuff here in Tunbridge Wells.

MetO has shifted my two hours of heavy snow until now... Due to start any time apparently? Can't see anything on radar unless that blob over the estuary gets bigger and shifts this way??

Hello all, just thought I'd introduce myself. I read this thread a lot and although I am purely an interested amateur I've learned a lot from you all. I love snow! I first joined this forum two years ago during the jan 2013 snow event. Despite breaking my leg slipping on the snow during that I'm still an ardent snow lover and although we had a short spell and a cm or so on Saturday morning I am more than ready for a huge deluge of the stuff. Can't decide if I'm hopeful for an event this week or giving up and thinking about spring! MetO says I'm in for some light snow in the early hours...... Fingers crossed!
