 SunnyG they haven’t had the best weather either.

I know this is the conspiracy theorist in me but with all the rain that Dubai received recently I do wonder if some particular country has seeded clouds so that north west Europe has received shocking weather for months on end, there’s a few countries who don’t like us thanks to the powers that be

 SunnyG we’ve had a lot of rubbish weather for several months overall, I’m sure it’ll flip for the better and the tories have underfunded public services and it shows but I’d rather live here than many other countries in this world, many beautiful places

Clear blue skies here in Exeter, absolutely gorgeous. We recorded over 13 hours yesterday so we are at 91 hours and most of that is from the last 10 days, hope the unsettled weather next week is just a blip! Would be surprised if we have above average sunshine for April but would be nice finally get an average sunshine month, we have another 80 hours to get that.

The first third of the month was dull as dishwater

I thought it was 16c but looks to be 14c according to netweather, surprising how warm it feels with very little breeze and full sun at just 14c, genuinely thought it was at least 16c. 
 

Currently at my allotment planting potatoes, it’s come a long way considering it was like a jungle full of overgrowth and bric a brac when I took it over last winter, still a ways to go though (posted a photo of how it looked before too, the last photo, you can just make out the greenhouse with the caved in roof.)

 WYorksWeather May is actually our sunniest month on average here oddly enough so wouldn’t surprise me, fingers crossed

 richie3846 hey…cool your heels, if you read the part where I said gaslighting it was in reference to met office weather reporter saying we had a wet winter and I was thinking ‘and the rest’ it wasn’t a dig at you, relax ok

 Azazel I feel for you, we had 6 weeks of lovely weather from mid May last year til the last week of June. July wasn’t great, august faired a little better but still below average, the first week of September was lovely and very warm but otherwise it’s been mostly pants…dull and wet for the most part, summer has to be better this year

 richie3846 not that I wish that on anyone, rather them than us after the weather we’ve had but at least they’ve had some real good spring warmth and sun unlike us, it’s looking like all eyes on May now until we see temps of anything close to 21c/70f or above. 
 

i saw the met office ten day trend and he mentioned about the wet winter we had, no mention of the wet autumn most of us had or the summer and spring which was wetter than average in many areas, many of us are very weary….Call it what it was, don’t gaslight us

can only hope we have a really long extended sunny warm period like we did last year but longer and July and august turn out nice.

this is feeling like a really long slog. Well at least we have some proper sunny days coming up with lighter winds, though only 15-17c if we’re lucky, should still feel pleasant enough though I can’t wait for temps of 21c and above reliably. The rain has relented too so it’s steps in the right direction albeit small ones

 Frigid I wouldn’t mind if we’d had very warm spells but the warmest it’s been here is 19c, I think we are all just desperate for proper warmth now after the wet and dullness of the past several months, now the sun has started to appear so has this friggin wind, hopefully the warmth will come in May

 AWD  yes it’s sunny here this afternoon, it was a little cloudy this morning but there’s just constant wind so it’s not warm but I’ll take it. We have over 100 hours of sunshine to get for the rest of this month to achieve average, hopefully we can do it

 Alderc 2.0 currently sunny spells in Exeter, doesn’t look as though it’ll last though but at least it’s dry, small mercies

 In Absence of True Seasons met office are always very negative with their sun symbols, I’m sure it’ll be more sunny that they are indicating for you

Feels chilly today, im so desperate for some warmth and sun that lasts all day.

I’ve got a feeling we’ll have to wait for May to come (yet again thanks to the late ssw) before we see temps of 22c or above widely, I don’t think we’ve barely reached 17c here yet this year.

 Earthshine I feel the same, if only it was as easy for us to immigrate to other countries like it seems to be for some to immigrate here.

I love England but the weather balance leans far too often to the dull or wet, there is no where better than the uk on a warm cloudless sunny day though, we have so many beautiful scenic places.
