    I'm not convinced the uppers are being modelled correctly as yet, it's often the case as a cold spell gets closer the forecast uppers change, sometimes for colder, but also sometimes warmer. Let's just get the conditions in, then we'll see what the uppers are.

    Nope just as strong block created by deep cold making the jet have to dive SE roughly over us. Pattern looks set, but we'll see.

    That did materialise though, it just changed from an easterly to a northerly, was still cold and still produced snow for some to. A trough in the easterly flow, that we've spoken about earlier in this thread, caused by cold air hitting warm water.

    It'll be rain here, same as last year sea to warm, might get some landing small hail stones that look like snow again though lol

    Yep might be time to retrim my lavinder for autumn again, this time ready for spring rather than false spring, it's flowered again.

    I personally think the two are linked. No one ever seems to factor what's going on with the artic it's self when talking teleconections? (Not sure on spelling)

    Not quite, it's further north than usual over Greenland and also much smaller,it hasn't finished building yet, type look.

    I call it which ever model they are using is forecasting fog.

    They won't be mild under that high, it'll be freezing, more so at night perhaps. Fog will probably keep day temps down too

    ??? Here it tends to be colder than apps suggest, ps apps follow a model not what this site actually forecasts.

    Yep I always expect an exaggeration, that moderates closer to t0 usually with lows, though looks like it can be with highs to, haven't been analysing this closely, but it wouldn't surprise me, if it's actually a low somewhere that much weaker, and had changed things.

    I know it does sometimes, but it's noteant to snow in autumn, and I'm glad it hasn't done so, will put yet.

    Looks freezing to me, provided the sky is clear at night of course, perfect frost and fog conditions.
