Actually I just looked on radar and there does seem to be a line of shower build roughly along that line, although it's more Portsmouth then Southampton. Whether it produces anything other than some rain is another matter.

I think it's the cap, I can see clouds coming over now and then that are alto cumulus with patches of ac cas, and completly disperse or look feathery by the time they are almost out of view.

Car park at the top of the western heights, on the military rd. Your at the top of the cliffs looking right at France, unless there is mist or fog.

Had a very clear blue sky for a while, now another patch of alto cumulus with some patches of ac cas is coming through. Today's high, 26.7 not sure if dp went above 19.9 or not. It's now down to 18.5.

Looks like something is starting to build here. Some alto cumulus I think Moving north maybe northeast slowly.

Still over east london and moving towards Cambridge I think.

Today here is the same as yesterday with more humidity and slightly less heat for now. Highest temp so far today 26.7, not sure whether it will climb higher or not.

The wind just died, dp gone over 19.4 that's the highest I remember.

Poring worse than yesterday here, phew. Nice and sunny with feather clouds and contrails. already 25 degrees, wind blowing from the ene which did let the temp drop last night down to 17.7, could tell the difference out side as soon as the breeze started. Other than feeling cool while it's blowing doesn't seen to be doing much to cool things down now though. difference seems to be humidity, still up at 66 where yesterday it was between 30-40 through most of the day. dp still up at 18.8 which I think is higher than yesterday too.

Pressure seems to be rising here again, is the European high supposed to fight back?

Not sure tonight will be as cool as the forecast was saying, guess we'll see. They think the min will be around 18, I just hope it is cooler than last nights 21.

lol even the weather station has lost hope now, has said showers later all day, now say's fine weather.

Personally not expecting anything this far east unless this turns in to a proper plume with elevated storms braking out to the east of the cold front.

Cloud wise just have feathers for now, not to sure that will be much good lol.

I've felt like that all day, however the humidity does seem to be slowly climbing as the temp is dropping.

Had some ac cas come through here a little while ago, all that was left off the little bit of shower that was east of the main stuff.

High now 29.7 don't think it will climb anymore, seems to be heading down now.

High here 29.5, now that is hot for dover.

If those first lot of storms holds together, things could get going in a few hours for some, mostly eastern parts of west country though with south central England though I think. They made it over Biscay so must be elevated.
