Is it possible to have a 1987 all over again.

Is this the start of the dreaded downgrades?
I just hope is stays dry and cold over the few weeks, not the continued bloody mild and dull like it has for most of the year!!!!
Forgive my ignorance but where is kelly brey

Given the circumstances of what is evolving this could well be a snow event even in Cornwall as there will be enough cold in the circulation, the big IF for everywhere is will there be enough ppn to support even a slight fall??
I cant tell you how many times iv'e looked out my window at a raging east wind sea hitting the cliffs and cold rain slamming down to only later find out, there was a blizzard in helston.

Getting back to the weather, from a IMBY point of view i cant get to exited to be honest. With the winds from the East /Northeast its usually dry and bright or frontal rain, turning to snow inland.Of course there have been some exeptions most notibaly 1987 but generally continental weather does not deliver .
Give me a GH with north west winds anyday. Much safer bet for the lizard pen

Emily Wood, but wood she? lol!!!!!!
In my dreams my friend in my dreams

Much as I like the accuracy of David Braine, I do prefer presenters who show a bit more excitement, it is after all what keeps us lot poking around in here for hours on end, just waiting for the extremes to show.
In fairness to david,he does have a very diverse region to cover. On one side of the coin, he's got me living in the tropics of south cornwall and on the other he's got people living in princetown. NOT EASY. I think overall he does a good job,if not as good looking as emily wood .lol
p.s where does she live

You live on the lizard peninsula? Must be hard pushed to get snow there unless its an exceptional month like Dec 2010.
Sure do and yes it is. another JAN 1987 would be nice but it could never be better than that

Can't see even Cornwall missing out if this run comes off.
dont you believe it . Getting snow to the uk is one thing, getting it down here is quite another.

David Brain on spotlight a minute ago no mention of cold next week . Just a bit colder over the weekend with rain .
mind you, this is cornwall afterall. Dont want the palm trees getting snowed on.

my first post after many months of lurking. hope the high pressure verifies as i dont think anybody down here can take any more rain.
