Looking at radar tho, that band doesnt look all that thick? that will blow over resonable quickly even if it stalls only looks about 50 miles across unless thats not the main band which isnt in view yet?
And it looks like its splitting in half

Similar here 5 degrees and getting warmer dew points at -2 though, I really want snow but for some reason it just does not feel like its going to snow outside. Please someone tell my why I am wrong!!!
Because its a front with a very breif mild infront of it. As it crosses over and drags very cold air aith a very strong wind wind chill will cause those temps to plumit. Its calm out at the moment but its nto going to stay that way. It snowed pretty much all day in RHondda where I work, on way home temps went from 2oC to 6oC in Llantrisant. Its supposed to happen. I thought I was going to be on the cusp of the rain to snow line, but for some reason I am feeling actually it will snow much further west. I looked at meteo site and all of wales has heavy snow tomorrow even pembroke and personally im betting on meteo being right as its human drawn chart. I think coomputer models have dam line way to far east to be honest.

He doesn't say where it splits though.

Quite agree S4. One other factor to consider is the actual strength of the front itself so it's possible the precipitation could fizzle out quite a lot the further E it gets. I'm in the same boat geographically as yourself so I am not pinning too much hope on Friday's system but yes, there sure looks like more of the same in the coming days.
From what I can gather from Fax chart, and forecasts on here friday looks a rain event for me in South Wales (Swansea ish) but its been a rollercaster ride last few weeks thats for sure.

very conflicting weather reports I seem to be hearing BBC say Snow for east wales , I am to far west in Swansea as I feel it probably be rain but is that ECM and GFS divide starting again? Maybe someone wouldnt mind giving me thoughts as I need to get ready work wise

Models still struggling with next week. Last time I checked 2 days ago snow was forecast tues , wed, thursday now it only shows friday and I think for me its marginal looking at risk charts.

Im starting to get slightly excited for a once in a lifetime snow event in wales
This has been a steep learning curve but im getting to grips with it all now. Thats a monster of a chart never seen purple so close to the UK before. Thank you to everyone -

Hey Jack what you rekon for those of us outside swansea and around the bay
I am not far from you buddy and car showed 6oC on the porthcawl straight at 4:30 if it does snow for us here I would imagine it be really heavy for us as we are first to get it. Have seen some awsome storms brew up out of knowere in the bristol channel.
