    Yes i can confirm ,its bloody horrible on the coast .Scary stuff this .Im so glad the clocks went back ,at least it means it will be lighter earlier ,i cant wait .Keep safe everyone

    so scary here .Ive got woods at the back of my house ,sounds awful out there .Can hear things smashing about .Hating every minute of it .Cant wait to get back to talking about snow prospects !

    The met office are saying that the south east will get hit the hardest from 5am in the morning ? where it then moves on to east anglia . Very windy here with heavy rain lashing my window ,cant sleep ! I think the morning commute will be non exsistant where buses & trains are concerned .I personally wont be taking my car out until near on lunchtime ! better to be safe than sorry i reckon x

    Just been woken by the wind & rain ! ive just checked the met office website & according to them ,nothing has changed re storm tomorrow night ( they updated at 1am ) still 8o mph gusts .Also just watching bbc news 24 & the storm is being more talked about on the news as well as the forecast . I must try to get back to sleep but even tonights weather is scary enough ,let alone tomorrow ! Good night all ,once again .at least its 02.44 & not 03.44 !!

    Ive just had a look on the met office site & for the past few days it was showing that this storm would be over by lunchtime ,its now showing that these strong gusts will last all day .oh er

    go easy tomorrow on your roof , will be a bit gusty up there ! good luck with it all ,i hope you manage to make it more secure tomorrow.as long as everyone stays safe thats the main concern & to those who are thinking of going camping or walking on seafronts ,you are truly insane in my book !

    Probably a good idea unless you would prefer to have an indoor pool I was in mexico when a hurricane was due & we were told to leave before it hit .So i rang the airline & we left the following day .Spent 3 days in mexico which cost me £7 k ! Rang the insurance company on my return & they said they would not pay out due to it being a natural disaster ! Fuming .Insurance is the one of the biggest rip offs & dont get me started on gas & electric lol

    Are you mad ? ! That is a very bad idea .Go later in the week when all this has passed. Although night time temperatures are set to fall next week . Better idea ,go camping next summer !!!

    Its always worth having torches or candles indoors .We had a power cut here not that long ago & i was greatful i had my late at night dog walking torch to hand

    Im sure they will be tomorrow ! Also i noticed james madden updated his page on friday .Guess what ? October storms & november snow & very cold bonfire night ! Met office do actually give next week quite a change in temperature ,especially at night . Cant wait for all this storm stuff to be over & get back to the winter madness . Interesting times ahead !

    Ive just had a nose on the met office site & it has brought the wind gusts slightly down for us in hastings ( it was updated at 9pm ) plenty of time for change i suppose either way ??

    Yes ,i second that .Its my daughters 12th birthday on monday & her name is Lauren ! not so sure that a storm her birthday is gonna be what shes hoping for though ??

    I agree with you to some degree ,but to me it worries me that the ground is so saturated . The met office has gusts for hastings around 67mph at about 3 in the morning on monday. I suppose time will tell & i do think that it would be wise to be prepared . ive cleared my garden furniture away has everyone else ??

    Me too Tamara ! Its my daughters 12 th birthday on monday .We are supposed to be going to pizza express at lunchtime with a few of her friends .I have a feeling that this might not happen now ? As long as everyone is safe thats all that matters ,we will have to have her bday celebrations another day . Quite scary all this

    It is beautiful here in hastings .The sun came out around lunchtime and it is so warm ,in fact i laid out in the garden & im now burnt ! Theres not a cloud in the sky .Apologies if im making anyone jealous !

    Just been out to take the doggies walkies .Thick fog but very humid . This may sound strange but for the last few years ive noticed that lady birds ,bugs which ever you prefer come into my house a few weeks before a really cold spell arrives ,and i came home this evening a what do you know ! two lady birds ,bugs in my kitchen ! So there you have have it ,my prediction lol ,2 to 3 weeks time brrrr .Have a great sunday everyone

    lol .weve just got back from the harvester in eastbourne .theve got their christmas decorations up ! Im just off to get out my gloves & scarf & ugg boots & im staying in !
