    Hi everyone , just thought I'd pop in after being in hibernation since last winter ! Can I ask , where has everyone gone ? John pike ,mk,blue breezer & many others ? Lovely to see others are still on here . Weather wise,After last winter,when we were all fed up of being drowned & blown away , this one is looking a lot more interesting to say the least .ive had more frosts here in the last couple of weeks than the whole of last winter . I hope everyone is well & looking forward to Christmas xx

    Good evening all ! So another storm coming at us all again ! How many rounds is this now ? So sorry to read about some members flooding problems . This situation is so worrying for everyone now , every day some where else is up to knee deep in water ? I've had a couple of people say to me today this is the environments way of telling us ,enough is enough & it's pay back time ?! I just wondered what you guys views are on this ? If we think about all the weather extrematies all over the world especially in the last few months it really is very worrying . Question is ? What the b****y hell do we do about it ? I really did fancy a bit of snow but under the circumstances ( water ! ) that really isn't what so many people need ! Best wishes to all xx

    . You just must very lucky where you live ? Sorry don't mean to sound rude ,but do you not watch the news channels ? It is unbelievable what has been happening & it's just not letting up . I can honestly say that I've not known this sort of weather in all my life , so I wouldn't call this nothing we are not used to ?

    Just checked met office & for my postcode it states that wind gusts are 62mph for Saturday too along with shed loads of rain. I have been thinking about buying a new car lately , I'm now wondering if a boat or parachute would be more useful ? ? Beyond ridiculous now . Feeling sorry for all the poor people yet again in flooded areas , they must be at a point of giving up . It's been an awful since before Xmas & here we are still saying the same in February ?? apart from losing a few fence panels I've been really lucky but this weather is really depressing now ! I don't know how I would be feeling if I was in a flooded area & I can't help but think why isn't more being done to help these poor people ,they seem to have been left to get on with it ? Disgraceful when you think about about it. I know we can't control the weather but in this day & age more could definitely be done . Sorry rant over !

    Here we go again ! Scarily windy here now , no rain as yet , but I know it's coming . This winter has been unbelievable for all the wrong reasons , I can't wait to see the back of it now ! Stay safe everyone x

    We definitely need some dry calm weather . From a selfish point of view I would love to see some snow ,lots of it ,but then again is the problem of it melting ,more bloody water ! I reckon we will get a very cold spell mid February onwards. Please don't ask me to * back it up with pretty pictures etc !just a gut feeling . Enjoy your Sunday everyone

    I was very lucky to see the northern lights too on a day trip to Lapland , it was beautiful ,would love to go again . It was exhausting & a day isn't really long enough ,plus the fact the gatwick didn't de ice the doors before we left so we were stuck on the flying bar for ages before we could get off ! The crew went berserk because of safety reasons ,ie if there was a fire on board ? Lapland though ,stunning & brrrrrrr cold like I've never experienced !

    Happy birthday john , I hope your having a lovely day . Over in the mad thread they are all reaching for the Prozac . Ian f posted & everyone is on a downer now ! What a difference a few hours make ! I'm pretty sure that we will all see some snow ,be it end of January or anytime in the whole of February & march , winter is NOT over ! Simples x

    Tipping down here too , nothing unusual really ,in fact it's quite normal lol. Glad too see we might actually see some sun within the next few days ! Will be nice to go out & not get soaked like a drowned rat that's been through a hedge backwards ! Night all x

    bless your little one with his heart surgery snow lady , such a worrying time . I had heart surgery last year after years of waiting for a correct diagnosis . Put your trust in the surgeons ,it really is amazing what they can do . Also chilly milly my niece had spinal surgery at stanmore , wow amazing at that hospital ,she will be in the best of hands ,they are known as being the best in the uk at least . Best wishes to both of your children xxxxx

    it's here & it's hammering it down ,beyond ridiculous now ? I've got a man from the council coming tomorrow to my swamp ,just hope he brings a boat to inspect my garden as one of there trees fell into my fencing ,he's already trying to shift the blame onto the people who built my house ? Fun times , I might just tip him out of his boat if he doesn't sort out my fences or steal his ores . Poor sod lol

    As the saying goes , America sneezes & we catch a cold ! Models looking much better tonight woop woop . Come April we will all be moaning that it's to cold lol & long for summer . I reckon winter is really going to play catch up quite soon , here's hoping anyway . Just for a change it's raining yet again , but no wind which seems really strange ? Kind of got used to my fence panels being scattered all over my garden on a daily basis ! Given up now trying to tidy it all back up ! Looks like this rain & wind is dying a slow death now , which will be great for everyone needing to clear up what that Atlantic left behind ! Hope everyone is well if not just a little bit excited he he

    not here they haven't ! I've had more damage in the last few weeks than I did in 87 ! Probably because the ground is so saturated but none the less it has been awful here . Sounds like you've been lucky

    Scary awful here , am hating it now ! At least with the 87 storm it was over n done with ,this seems like it's been more on than off for a few weeks now . We need some respite please weather gods !

    Another truly diabolical day ! Never known the weather to be so awful for so long ! Fencing all needs replacing but can't find a window of opportunity in the next week to sort it all out ,wind & rain just keeps coming grrrrr . On a better note two has me forecast for some white stuff on the 18 th jan woop woop ,can't wait ! Anything apart from howling damaging wind & relentless rain will be so welcome . I hope everyone is ok & being careful on another rotten day ! Best wishes to those who are being severely affected by Mother Nature . Hopefully respite will be coming soon & the clear up can begin x
