    Regarding snow next week. What is the turnaround at Gatwick airport from snow falling to resuming flights again? Say the snow fell on Monday, would it be more or less ok by Wednesday? We're booked to fly to Jersey for my uncle's funeral on Wednesday and my Dad is flying out with my sister the day before… He's 94 and couldn't take a long wait when the flight's delayed. Not sure if it helps and maybe CWT as well, I had to go to Belfast yesterday from Gatwick arrived to thick snow, school closures , road closures and a lot of snow on the grassy areas at Belfast Airport....runway was clear, taxiway was clear and landing was fine. Came back into Gatwick last night and noticed they have a long line of snow ploughs and gritters all sat next to the runway as we landed ready to spring into action. I have a feeling that the roads to Gatwick would be shut before they closed the airport so you will be fine I am sure.

    Recorded 12.5 here lunchtime, its now dropped to 7.7, DP is 2.6.

    Been a nice warm day here but temp is now dropping fast! Wind has been a steady gentle breeze most of the day.

    Temperature is dropping slowly, 5 here, no sign of any more than a very light breeze, 5 to 6 mph.

    Clear sky but not seen a meteor here, temp starting to dip but pressure still rising and the wind seems to be calming down.

    Just had a 29mph gust in the back garden, little rain and the temp is on the rise!

    8.2 degrees still herein Eastbourne and the wind has picked up Barmy temperatures here today, almost spring like!!

    Temp here is 3 and dropping, dew point 0.1 .....still think it will be rain in Eastbourne!

    Light sleet about an hour ago in Eastbourne but now turned to light drizzle! My very technical method of measuring the temp (stick my head out the window) tells me the temp is lower than last night but still well above freezing!

    Nope the Eastbourne Blob has been a wet squib so far! Not a falke in sight, plenty of rain and a nice breeze,

    Interesting, how much snow do you have in Hailsham, guessing its only 3 or so miles North?

    Yeap, it still feels warm outside, quite breezy as well.

    And still it rains......no sign of it letting up or turning to sleet/snow in Eastbourne.

    CHmape...thanks for that, can't read it on my IPad so will have to fire up my laptop! Still rain and the wind appears to be picking up!

    Despite the big pink blob over Eastbourne.......it's still just rain, don't have. Thermometer but it still feels to warm to snow!

    Interesting...snow reports all around me but still nothing in Eastbourne!

    Still rain in Eastbourne, although now lighter than it was, just been outside and there is no snow mixed with the rain either!

    Emmmm just strong winds and rain in Eastbourne!

    Occasional raindrops and the little snow we had has been melting all day here in Eastbourne!
