I'm happy to call it, we have survived summer 2023! I'm sure there will be warm weather to come but we are fast approaching the time when searing heat becomes less likely.
Nothing worrying on the ensembles which take us into almost mid-August. Plus I go to Scotland next week for a fortnight so I am chuffed.
Slowly, slowly.......

The excellent model output continues for heat haters, any hint of something warmer keeps being delayed. Don't you just love to see it
The last few weeks have been utter bliss.

And the good weather continues! Wouldn't this be nice if it carried on all the way to winter and slowly got colder and colder? We're still not out of the woods yet but, fingers crossed, this will continue for a while yet and the warmth will be held at bay.

@Dangerous55019 Great minds think alike.
I usually start the Autumn thread around this date every year, so I had it in mind.
Still waiting for the first "this thread is too early!" post though. Usually comes like clockwork.
Never too early!

I voted yes but I would use the words too warm rather than too hot. Also depends upon other factors like whether there's a breeze or not.

It’s similar over here in Latvia.
It was cool and sunny when we arrived on Saturday evening, and nights are chilly at around 12-14c, and being in the countryside those temps feel colder.
We had a thunderstorm yesterday morning, but it moved away within 45 minutes and 1-2 hours later we had blue skies and warm sunshine for the rest of the day.
It has been on the chilly side when the cloud covers the sun, but that’s the northerly breeze.
The heat is much drier here, despite being near the Baltic Sea.
I can’t understand people who guilt trip the majority of people who want some lovely hot sunny weather between May and September, and especially between June and August.
Damp, and cold weather often dominates from late September until late March or early April, but in some years like 2023 it lingered until mid May, and even into June in some regions.
Yet, we still have a group of selfish people who deem a fortnight of hot weather as ‘too much’ or ‘dangerous and worrying’, while others are told to just ‘toughen up’ when people feel cold in 10-13c in April and May.
It really is a case of double standards.
Weather not nice enough for you? I would Just 'deal with it'

I must be one of that 0% then...
FWIW this has been a great spell of weather. Useable, good for sleeping, dry at times but with a bit of rain too. I just wish it could be like this for the next few weeks!
Next few months even!

A rainy day is just as beautiful as a sunny one.
Absolutely correct. I wish more people on here had your view.

Lovely this morning. 15c at the moment and a cool breeze. This I can deal with

As we approach high summer, the news in the model thread of cooler and more unsettled is music to the ears. The longer this can hang around for, assuming it arrives, the better. Heat lovers have been spoilt, especially in the west, now its our turn to enjoy some relief.
Yep. If it can eat it's way through summer I'd be quite happy.

It's too warm. We need normal, comfortable temps for the rest of the year now

Only today to go and back to some decent temperatures. Hopefully it lasts for a while. Had enough heat for now.

Liking the weather at the moment. My kind of summer. My wishes are that we descend into an early autumn but it's too early to say that. We still have three months to get through that can bring warm spells.

What a lovely morning. To be awoken by the theraputic sound of rain and a temperature of 16c. Nice.

Update: I think it's time we rejoice in being less cynical towards this heat.
After all, it's not like it's caused any damage. I'm sure many of us may not enjoy the sweat.
I'm certain there's many of us that are not enjoying long nights of struggling to sleep.
However, I've been told by someone who seems to think I'm making things sound too dangerous.
Okay, that's a fair criticism. You have your own rights to be angry about the way I voiced my opinion.
Although, I still think that it's important to stay safe in any weather conditions.
Either way, I won't hold a grudge against those who opposed.
I will just agree to disagree and continue updating how I feel about the weather.
Today has been much better in terms of balancing of temperature.
I'll admit that it's still got the warm air later through the day.
It's mostly okay, I'm just accepting that this weather won't stop.
I've accepted that we will all enjoy the heatwave no matter what.
I've accepted that we should just embrace the sun...
So, I think with all this being said. It's time to be kinder towards the weather.
It's time to come together Hot & Cold Lovers & share the Love.
(My garden has died due to this hot weather...)I wouldn't worry what others think to be honest. I've been called a troll for commenting that I like colder weather and rain but whatever...

The Heat Haters Club 2023

There are a lot of bitter heat lovers on here. If you post anything they don't like on there they jump on you. It's cool at the moment, they don't like it. They need to just 'get over it'
