the effect i noted on the early radar frames has persisted with the heavier snowfall struggling to get west of the meridian in the south of the region.
sorry can you explain this a bit more to me
-
Well looking at the radar,Plenty more to come yet, After lunch hopefully see heavier falls,Still light atm but everything now looking like the end of Fridays spell. All White. Will do measurement of garden table later.
yes im surprised seems like we are going to get more than we did friday atm. looks like plenty more to come and seems to be coming more west than forcasted ?

Where abouts in Hatfield are you mate? Im just behind the uni? Roads here are blooming awful, Ice at the bottom, compressed snow, and now fresh snow...
Went to the galleria last night and just made it home....so slippery

This is the main band (I think) it's light here atm, but may pep up later... However, there are plenty of hours of snow still coming our way.
i heard a small front had developed as the front came over the channel and thats what we have now. theres a big chance im wrong though lol
-
so whens the main band of snow expected to arrive. just tried to drive down the 414 to london colney .NOT aidea especially in a BMW

snowing here st.albans

At the moment it is looking on target for us still so just hope it stays that way. I am reckoning if it does hit us even if its only light it will be about for a good while and look how much Fri's event gave us..
Thats my thoughts anyway, but how accurate they are is another thing. I am listening to the experts on this one and watching that radar closely. As for work tomorrow well we eventually got sent home early on Friday (by an hour) and I reckon we would have to be knee deep in it tomorrow for our lot to close lol
haha well I'm relying on jewson making a delivery first thing for so could be interesting
-
is that chunk of precip on the radar covering areas such as Ely, St Ives, Huntington etc actual snow too I wonder.. Am watching with interest as it seems to be building and spreading slowly further south towards us.. Or is it a blip I wonder :/
hey whats your thoughts on today. reckom well have work tommorow ;-)

hey guy things still looking good? any change?
-
I'd be more than happy enough with 6-7cm based on those charts
yea if that is right will be very good. met only going for 2-4cm
-
NAE 18z accumulations for tomo
Looks quite good for most of the region
wow 8 cm for me according to that .met have only said 2-4cm
-
Too East? Not at all, if anything, the only concern we could have would be too far West, and that wont be an issue tomorrow!
oops yea sorry west is what i meant..too far west for the good stuff
Fingers X`d for the NAE update. Lets hope it shows more than the met imagines.
when is the nae update

ALL LOOKING GOOD FOR A DAY OF SNOWFALL.
yes really got my fingers crossed but worried we might be a bit too far east
-
so hows everyone feeling for tommorow looking at the gfs it looks like in for a good dumping of snow but it seems really down played .am i missing something
-
whats the estimated snow for my area does anyone have some link for the right charts i never seem to find the right ones
-
any change in the models? hoping to get some more :-)
-
Thaw in central St Albans (UHI effect) But away from this warmth, I suspect there's not much melt going on, however, I cant really hear any drip, drip drip.
what do you think our chances are tommorow
-
I would say a shift to the west, as the 06z always has everything further east on its run, seen it do that on all the 06z runs this week!
I looked at the gfs and it looked like heavy snow for me but the forecasts seen to be playing it down ?/
-
