  1. Get down Clas Ohlsen in Croydon Gaz (opposite Primark). Got some nice units for not much cash. Maplin is also a good bet, paid £10 for mine in sale, bargain! Even have an anemometer with it and temp is alway close to nearest station.

I got my fine offset wh1080 from claus ohlsen a couple of years ago for £100, I've heard you can get them for about £50 now. They come with various different badges. Depends what you want, all the garden widgets - rainfall, wind etc, or just a temp/humidity gauge

    Thanks will do xx

Gfs shows cold to the 25th now

    No surprises there then

The 23rd from the main gfs run would leave us being buried :-)

25th that will be nice, lots of talk tonight on warming up during day today, the sun was very warm today but soon as it went in the temp dropped surely with snow forecast the cloud covering will keep that sun away, would be great here in Croydon to have enough to last us til tues/ weds

  3. Posted earlier but wasn't very busy on here then - seems to have livened up now smile.png

I am supposed to be going for an evening out in Oxted (from Croydon) this evening- thought I was safe with everything starting tommorow but a bit worried we may be caught out and don't want to be driving home in snow - thoughts ?

My son started work on 7/1 in oxted we live Croydon , I am worried about how he will get Tain home Tom night he's just turned 17 just hope trains carry on running

  4. hi

what we want to see is an undecut

this will let the atlantic get through but not

move our cold air to the east

the tricky bit is where the undercut happens

and the main precipitation will be

difficult call that one for anyone to call

Thanks I have no chance ! I am very new to this, thanks for the help, also I would like to buy a weather station, never had one before and don't have a clue what one, where from, cost etc , can anyone advise

  5. hi paul

early yet but i see it at present as an undercut with the low heading south

as you then say this will pull in proper easterlies

i have one word for everyone

    patience

Ok I am very new to this the way I understand you are saying this will pull easterlies meaning the cold snap continues after Sunday but the snow would come in eventually by the east, meaning the band of snow we are looking at coming in on fri/sat would not happen? The Atlantic weather would be kept out and pushed back west?

  6. hi bob
