Chilly at -5c this morning. Edinburgh Airport maxed out at -8c. Another stunning winters morning!
Bet there's no issue with the rain and strong winds reaching here over the weekend though

Can't even manage an ice day here with the temp creeping just above freezing. Beautiful day though to compensate for a really rather poor attempt at a cold spell locally!

Chilly one! Currently -5c
Can we finally scrape an elusive ice day though

Temp only sitting at 0c but it's an ice rink out there. The 10mins of sleety pish earlier is frozen solid! Was going to head up the Pentlands on my bike but way too slippy!

I do not accept that this picture actually deserves to be called snow.... this is not a win

Light sleety pish on here now. Total fail from the Met as it was clear from many of the charts yesterday evening that things had changed for the Central Belt

The bbc have me down for snaw from 1pm to 8pm from the North West... i cant see that as being correct...
Looking at the radar it is moving this way but i feel the hills will take most of it..
@101_North radar showing pink in your general area.. i know you love frontal snaw so maybe this could be your time..
Radar is taking the jaffa cakes

Total non-event as predicted this morning. Charts don't look great for later either locally. Unless something changes dramatically this is yet another rubbish cold spell and it isn't even that cold at -1c

Chilly but nothing particularly exciting at -1c. Beautiful sunny winters morning though. The best aspect of a Northerly flow for here is the blue sky!

All very exciting...except I suspect it won't be round here I have my disappointment hat on already

Seen plenty of tornado and storm chasing sites over the years but snow storm chasing could be my new addiction

... and yes this is from the much maligned GFS, which will wobble for 48 hrs yet.. looks healthy from a Northerly perspective then the spectre of some frontal snow as next week unfolds
Northerly and frontal snow you say? Useless

Complete non-event here. So predictable that I'm annoyed with myself for even checking the radar

Predictably we'll not even scrape a brief dusting from this. Wet baws at play already. Started settling but within 5 mins it's already turned to a slushy wet mess

Temp sitting at around -2.5c at the minute. Hopefully a chance of squeezing at least an ice day out of this cold spell
