Light snow falling - how long before it turns to rain!?

First post on the MOD thread. As a newbie/lurker for a while, I have to say that for new followers, they have got a cat in hell's chance of learning if its "a downgrade for Sun/Mon"...followed by post saying "an upgrade for Sun/Mon".
For learners like me please can posts be backed up with charts or explanations to these type of comments or posts in general.
Sorry if off topic!

Nice surprising heavy dusting when I woke. The last hurrah (for January?!)

reposted from prev thread. Bonkers weather in littlehampton tonight. Snow then rain then snow that started to settle then rain and then snow not settling!

Heavy sleet in chichester, increasingly more flakes in it.

Patchy snow remaining were its been gritted/salted, but where its been untouched there is about 5cms+. So my score from Littlehampton is a tale of starting off brightly getting some early goals (cms - centimetres not Craig Mackail-Smith!) but after a second half thaw and only a last minute couple of cms we get an official score of 5 centimetres.

about a 5 on the murr scale steady as she goes!

Still moderate in littlehampton. An extra 0.5cm so far. How far west is this going?

back from work! In Littlehampton we have had about 10cms! nice! Hope Sunday gives us more - touch and go for West Sussex?

Schools in Littlehampton being shut, roads becoming"impassable", trains still just about running (surprisingly), feels like 'old skool' winters - like I remember as a kid. Now where's that sledge. Still throwing it down in Chichester.
-
Still chucking it down in Chichester - 50p flakes at the moment - interesting to try the trains later! Could be a travelodge night!

Count me in for the cup if its possible. If not don't worry. Definitely looks like the front has stalled over Sussex.

HI all, first ever post! What a day to do it! Left Littlehampton at 7.15 nothing! Got to Chichester and currently it is blizzard conditions! Yay!
