This is definitely the loudest winds heard this winter, feeling a bit worried about if it gets worse, not sure those on littlehampton seafront/riverside are liking this,
Edit - blimey the house shook on that gust.

Very dark, almost like night, in Chichester. 3 or 4 squalls today - not nice!

I know your right difficult is not the word i personally read Gibbys posts and John holmes and if their posts arnt looking great i read Frostys as he sees the positive in everything even if its 1million hours out.
I agree two posts at 7.46 and 7.48 said " no cold signal overnight" and then "great charts for coldies" respectively. I know this is model discussion, but it doesn't not help the newbie or beginner.
Sorry if a bit off topic!

Right, I've had enough - leaving work soon (in Chichester heading east to Littlehampton via train). It's blowing a hoolie and beltling down with rain. No trees down in the next hour please!
Stay safe all.

Pouring down in Littlehampton, wind not as gusty as earlier still pretty breezy.

I wouldn't like to be in a caravan tomorrow / Monday, stay safe (lock in at the bar! ) or leave early?I'm there now... Decisions decisions!
-
Halt term hol at haven caravan park at hastings seems iffy...going Monday lunchtime. Will I need to go to Holland instead to find the caravan!

Rumbles now being heard in Chichester, probably the eastern edge at the moment.
-
Wow that was a lot - a flat 8 inches in back garden. Didn't think we'd get that much in Littlehampton. In Chichester nowhere near as bad. Looks like Barnham eastwards bore the brunt!?

right time for bed - should wake up to a white world!
-
looks like its set in for most of the night - either persisent or heavy showers - not a bad choice!
-
been on buses in snow before - very scary! Trains were ok last time but were already a nightmare this afternoon
-
Do I go to work in Chichester tomorrow or be sensible? Trains haven't coped with this so I expect delays! Trains + snow = Carnage!
-
very true the odd tree down and bury hill on A29 was/is shut
-
still coming down hard - over 5cms - and the wind is whistling through parts of the house that obviously I didn't know needed draught excluder!
-
still chucking it down here must be on the western edge of the front

Looks like the heaviest stuff is incoming, probably east of Isle of White looks like being hit!
-
Looking at rain today, IMBY - if that heavier stuff was 10-20 mile north - bingo!
-
B***er...they will expect me to go to work then..Bleah.....
But it is supposed to get heavier this afternoon!
