  1. We sit in a so called "Valley" (One Side Dunstable Downs, the other is around Cranfield/MK area) We are the driest county in th UK however, when a weather system enters our "Valley" it tends to stay for a greater length of time. We are likely to get the snow later in the day as we are always likely to get low pressure systems, hence why you see on a radar the weather slightly veering towards us Sit tight and watch the snow come in and get heavier
  2. I think they know its more than that. Probably just waiting until the last minute before they do an upgrade. Would not be surprised if the Met Offfice placed our region (or most of it) in Amber
  3. Will do Seems that the snowfall expected on Sunday is slowly moving westwards and we may see more significant snow in the West than was originally planned
  4. Think the Met Office issue the area as Amber warning indicating that within the Amber Warning area there is a red warning Think it also means that the Amber can become a red due to the severity of the weather and the Met office being more cautious and trying not to get caught out It depends where the symbol on the map is which usually means which way the Red Warning will spread if it develops over a certain period. Noticed it has been moved to the north now.
  5. Snowed a little in Bedford this morning for about 10 minutes Mind you temp at Bedford Railway station was -6 Also saw Snow Plough Train being run on the Branch line this morning as I went to work so thay must know something
  6. Looking at the various Radar events Wrap-Around seems to be dissipating so guess it will all be over in next hour. Have to wait for the cataclysmic weather event happening on Friday!!
  7. On/Off here but not heavy Read that the Friday Forecast may be the same/worse than todays Can anyone confirm this?
