    As promised earlier, here's a video of the thunderstorm from last night: Photos are included at the end of the video, but here are some of my favourites:

    Had constant lightning from about 1am-2:30am but the thunder wasn't so frequent at first. I then got woken up at around 3:45am by a short downpour, which produced a bit of thunder and lightning. That first storm was possibly the best I've ever seen in terms of the quantity of lightning I'll put photos/videos up later.

    At 7:50pm we had a huge bolt of lightning which shook the house a little, followed by a lot of hail. It only lasted about 5 minutes but was enough to make the road and the cars white on the surface.

    Had some thunder and lightning at around 5am this morning which woke me up. Currently, very wet and windy although I think the rain is starting to ease off now. Edit: As soon as I posted that the heaviest rain of the day is falling, absolutely torrential.

    I think I just heard some tiles falling off someone's roof, although I must admit I don't know what that actually sounds like...

    The wind has died down a bit, the calm before the storm, so to speak. The barometer currently reads 997.8mb here: http://www.worthingweather.org/ (click on Live Display) Just hope everyone stays safe over the next 12-18 hours.

    Any chance of those cells near Cherbourg/Bayeux coming here rather than Brighton/Eastbourne. Is this possibly the northerly track that was mentioned earlier?

    Sad news for any tree lovers, just a timely reminder how thunderstorms aren't always great: http://www.worthingherald.co.uk/news/top-stories/latest/update-tree-hit-by-lightning-in-worthing-cannot-be-saved-1-5423704 Onto today, a few clouds bubbling up, might be interesting to see how that develops.

    I think the worst has passed now, never heard thunder like that before!

    Absolutely throwing it down here, some thunder and lightning too. Just as I type, what I believe is called shotgun thunder, never heard thunder that loud before!
