  1. Well, we are getting nearer to the great event - let's hope it's a good one!
  2. And the front is already looking very intense - no wonder the warnings were issued!
  3. My boss told me not to bother coming in tomorrow. I said, oh that's nice of you, I'll see you on Monday morning. He replied, don't bother, your fired!
  4. Unfortunately, there is nothing worse than having a great roaring blizzard only to see it all washed away a day or two later!
  5. Maybe such a rare roaring blizzard deserves an all night vigil!
  6. I wouldn't want to be taking a walk over the Brecon Beacons tomorrow! Take care.
  7. That will cause some serious drifting - possibly well over 1 metre drifts!
  8. I think we can be confident now that the rain/sleet threat has truly gone for our neck of the woods.
  9. The ECM is still excellent and signals a reload albeit in FI.
  10. IAN F's forecast seems to be following the along the lines of the ECM and that channel LP for Monday: Blizzard 2 - The Return.
  11. That looks ominous! Almost 'The Day After Tomorrow'. ECM just fantastic.
  12. I used to live up in Hollingbury when I lived in Brighton as a child. It could be a blizzard up there but raining in the centre. So yes, I would advise a trip up to the Downs.
  13. It can't get much better than that - pure heaven!
  14. I used to live in Norway near to Oslo and every year in that area they get metres and metres of snowfall. Average winter day temperatures are -15 deg C. The coldest I experienced there was -25 deg C and that was daytime too!
  15. I just had to pop in here to say that I'm a bit jealous you lot are in the sweet zone to getting a roaring blizzard with 15cm to 20cm and perhaps 1metre + drifts - you lucky dastards!
  16. What do you think about the threat of sleet/rain for our neck of the woods, Coast? Would you say 50/50?
  17. Seems a pretty decent guide. I hope that the occlusion doesn't cause a sleet/rain scenario for us here again like last Monday. The MET are predicting this again and it would be a shame to have a roaring blizzard only to be washed away before we can get out and enjoy it.
  18. I know that many frown on Piers Corbyn but I have to say that he has been right so far about UK winters being colder and snowier. The man has made his mark as far as I'm concerned.
  19. Yes but with the cold block staying put, we in the SE, can still have 'our finest hour'. Be patient, it is coming!
  20. I too thought that to be a little confusing. Not quite sure what they mean by that.
