    Looking like North Nottinghamshire missing out yet again apart from last nights slight dusting unless serious adjustments to the weather system any views on the frontal snow reaching this far north tomorrow or Friday ?

    Can any one help me with this mornings developments please ! looking at the charts using my limited knowledge is it looking less wintry for north Nottinghamshire ? seems on met office app that snow symbols for tomorrow onwards are less than yesterday and the charts seem to have moved the ppn away some what ?? im north Nottinghamshire about 85 miles inland from the wash

    Looks like the snow event has moved more westerly in regards to my location north nottingham ( 80 miles east inland from the wash ) light flurries this morning giving light dusting but now stopped

    Just glanced at the BBC weather app for my location , North Nottinghamshire and only snow symbols now showing are for a few hours Tuesday morning then nothing else till Friday !! i must be mis reading the charts etc if that is correct ?

    Good morning am I correct looking at the charts for the week ahead my area , approx 85 miles inland from the wash ( North Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire border ) is in an excellent position for a snow event ?

    Thanks for replying ! from my little knowledge of the charts I don't expect much / if any snow accumulation for my location Am I correct in thinking if snow is to reach inland ( 80 miles inland from the wash ) the "low" needs to move a lot further north ?

    Any updates on the radar if the band has reached its most northerly point ? Im in north Nottinghamshire and slight dusting with really light snow for last few hours

    So reading all the comments has it moved north ? The actual amount is probably guess work with 50-100 miles being mentioned but maybe that would align with what the met forecast has been consistent with all day regards north Midlands snow event

    Met office update at 7pm for tomorrow on Nottingham / derbys border still very much as it has been all day , heavy snow from 8am till 1pm then light snow till 6pm They seem fairly confident of snow fall north Midlands ?

    My location in between Nottingham and Mansfield BBC weather is saying heavy snow from early morning till lunchtime but looking at the charts being posted I can't really see if that band of "snow" actually reaches this far eastwards / north ? any help appreciated !! Thanks

    Can I ask which may seem a stupid question to you more experienced weather watchers for my location approx 8 miles NW of Nottingham city which would be better for snow , gfs to move further north or south ??? Any thoughts would help ! Thanks

    The BBC weather for My location on the notts / Derby border ( Heanor ) is showing heavy snow from 5am tomorrow till 1pm then light snow not seen heavy snow for few years now so fingers crossed we are in the middle of this band ???

    Stopped snowing here in Kimberley ( ng16 ) .............. BBC weather has this area down for 5 hours heavy snow !!!!!!!!!!! Slightly wrong I guess

    Good evening all not sure this is the correct section to post this question to you clever people , however ................. im coming to cornwall ( near penzance ) from Friday 13th September till Saturday 21st sept on family hols , just wondering if any of you have any idea as to how the weather is panning out around that time ! any help much appreciated
