  1. Just checked...4 inches from this evening alone where it had melted away completely at the side of the house. Snow started to get lighter now..radar showing the front nearly cleared over Wales.
  2. Hard to say... I reckon about 3 inches at least today..maybe more. We have had snow on the ground since Mon 14th Jan.
  3. 8 inches level now and 10 inches in drifts. Insane. And again this snow is heavier yet the radar suggests it shouldn't be. Earlier with the white pulses we didn;t have much.
  4. The heavy echos north of Stoke aren't producing anything heavier than has already fell all evening. Rather odd. Few CM added to the total but its very icy stuff.
  5. Intense echos above...strangely not as intense as I thought it would be. Its a very icey snow falling too.
  6. One last hurrah looks to be a good one. Dejavu from this time last week
  7. No radar since 11 but heavier here. Cannot believe it is still snowing in my hometown Solihull. A good covering up here again but will it last? I don't think we will see much more from this now as it sweeps north. Birmingham got lucky today
  8. Still flurries tonight outside and the wind is bitter. With blowing snow it really feels like a proper winter night,
  9. Snow perked up and is now slowing again in last hour. 6 inches level and 8 inches in the drifts...heaviest fall I think I've seen!
  10. And it falls still...not the heaviest snow but must have added a few CM in the last hour.
  11. 3 foot drifts? Not sure that is accurate. I live on an exposed hill and yes there is small drifting on kerbs and against windows/doors but not that deep.
  12. Here in Norton north of Hanley...snow getting heavy now and blowing around. Hope the front stalls...the intensity seems to have picked up.
