Beautiful day it was cloudy this morning and I did have a moan (then again I am a lady and apparently thats what we do) But this afyernoon its been a smasher !! Not exactly get your bikini out warm but very nice cant grumble

Well what a miserable day rained this morning and its been dull and cloudy ever since . . Miserable miserable day .

BBC weather said may be a little better tomorrow for central belt so here's hoping it will break and give plenty of autumn sunshine .

Must admit it's been awful here today low cloud that's clung around all day and drizzle all day long not a very nice day at all !! yesterday was glorious today I wish I hadn't got out of bed .

With the anomaly charts all in agreement of a trough situation and 3 of the models Barr the ECM showing latter stages of unsettled conditions I'm just wondering if the ECM has called this one wrong . I don't know a great deal about the Anomaly charts do they get things wrong and produce incorrect DATA like GFS and other models seem to do ?

What I don't understand about all the model watching that happens on this thread is all the constant point scoring with certain posters ... It's given a nice week slightly cooler at the weekend before the high pressure builds again in FI so why do certain people keep badgering on about a breakdown and No heateave in august etc etc ..... The weather will do what the weather wants to do so why the point scoring !!! As a learner on here it's very frustrating when your trying to get to grips with the constant technical terms and charts and then someone is chipping in with something that's just simply having a go at others . Some on here are accused of being biased towards heat ie Frosty but as far as I can see frosty tells you exactly what the charts are showing for example today's output he's mentioned the low at the weekend he hasn't ignored it but I've no doubt that later someone will say he has . It's silly and as a learner It would be nice to just come on and read about what people have posted about the models .

Morning Frosty Any news on the weather for Scarborough ? The models seem to be flirting with the idea of warmth coming albeit slowly up the country , but I'm sure I saw in the newspaper yesterday that wednesday we were going to get a real dumping of rain and I think SSun posted a few charts to correspond with that !! I think my packing will be as unreliable as the models are : jumpers hats bikini etc pack the lot I say !!!

So the anomaly charts are showing a trough influence is that right ? Wasn't there 1 anomaly chart this morning that wasn't agreeing with the others I think mushy posted it ! And John holmes does say that all 3 have to be in agreement . Sorry still learning x

Also am I right to say that several times over the july heateave the GFS and UKMO agreed over high pressure but the ECM wasnt having any of it and kept showing a sort of breakdown by the Atlantic only to turn at the last minute and agree with the GFS ???

But am I right in saying that the ECM is on it's own as there's agreement between the GFS ens and op and the UKMO for the slight pressure rise next week ?

It's an absolute cracking day in Ashbourne lovely weather was slightly overcast this morning the sun kept cracking through but it's been lovely this afternoon . Can't grumble .

Hi Frosty Thankyou so very much for your posts I come on daily to check thevmodels and always look for your posts Captain Shortwave and summer sun as I find them the easiest to understand . Heading to yorkshire Scarborough on the 12th any thoughts on what the models or weather is going to go ? I fully understand that it's FI but and heads up would be great . Thankyou
