Indeed, showing up well on radar - pretty localised affairs that will deliver or should you be beneath them. Then hardly a drop just a few miles either side.
Absolutely black as the ace of spades to the North and East of us here. Heard some thunder about an hour ago towards Ermington/Yealmpton way. Very very humid as well.

Very isolated heavy shower poss storm over C Wales too, W of Welshpool.
Edit, looking quite an active one at that, Newtown area.

You'll find that we're probably the breeding ground for the next batch of storms...to eventually hit the east and north east, probably..Ps pleased to say I can report a gust of wind lol..

Rain cleared still pretty humid, think chances remain further north and east now? For any thundery bursts that is, you never know though.Or Kent lol..wonder whether those lines of potent rain in France will make inroads soon to kick things off later tonight?

Period of quite heavy rain pushed through, as always hard to pinpoint where any thundery activity shall be..as it's a developing situation, still too early to say. Sometimes showers tend to break out ahead of the main 'event' so here's hoping.
I'm pretty sure some parts of Yorkshire didn't expect to get what they did last night..

Looks manic on radar there right now...two active looking storms lining up right over the city. Enjoy, despite the possible lightning strike nearby. Local news no doubt'll be busy tomorrow..This is one of the nastiest storms I've ever seen, I'm on the east side of York and still shaking from the explosion which I think hit a house just round the corner. Never ever seen rain like this. Lightning every 5-10 seconds, constant thunder and the missus is fast asleep.

Reports of over an inch of rain falling within an hour too...Really impressive storms to the north. Had to take a walk out onto the open fields looking down on Leeds to watch the light show.

Know the feeling - one nice storm fired Market Drayton way, so close and yet so far...but yes frustrating it can be.So annoyed with my self. This storm grew just north of Doncaster and me thinking it wasn't going to do nothing and now it's exploded!!!!! Could of chased this with a simple drive up the A1m!!
