Some very useful rain, grey and overcast..far from hot! Haven't said that for a good month
Soon as it clears - phew, we'll know about it. Any sun and warmth may be enough to trigger a locally potent shower or two?
29C by Thursday...
-
Enjoy, I'm pretty sure that the warm if not hot bits shall make up for the MCS and rainier bits! A break is a break, get some sea airOff camping tomorrow in Weymouth for a week, Hope to have good weather down there, Don't mind a little rain during the night just hoping the days are ok.
Anyway BBQ every night with a few tinnies of course, CAN'T BE BAD !!!! Oh yes i'm sure the kids will love beach as well See you when i get back....... HAPPY DAYS

Not good - must've been twelve or so at the time, playing at a mates house during one pretty vicious Summer storm - we were in the hall, right next to his glass embossed porch door..when an almighty flash then instant deafening boom! Made us jump like mad...Turned out a house only a block away had a direct hit, chimney adios...electrics ciao, phone line, tarrah..only then later to discover it was a friend of my folks? They said it was rather loud lol..remember it like it were yesterday.Anyone still awake zzzzzI spoke to someone today who lives in the north of Coventry whose neighbour had their roof destroyed by lightning yesterday around 6 pm
-
Good luck storm lovers - emphasis today placed further North, where some crackers are likely to occur
From hardly a wee drop to torrents, quite out of the blue.
-
Fourty notes in the Asda now lol..Another 20 mins of that weather and we would of definitely of needed this, LOL
-
Indeed Bish..bit of a round trip, but hey..amongst the rumbles, flashes, initially from near W Newport, via Haughton..then storm Bloxwich way - finally near on 10 mins of complete, bonkers mayhem, near Albrighton/Codsall way, last totally as if by chance and sheer luck especially when I thought, surely there can't be more?
Oh well, even if the northern folk hog all the storms tomorrow, I for one won't begrudge them, never do or anyone else for that matter. Unless they're say Dutch/German/Belgian or French hehe..
-
Lol...amen to that!!!! Specsavers?Looks to be room for a BBQ
Bish is too posh for candles !!!! Its a solar light
-
Lol..I'm more pleased the candle was protected, and pre caution adhered too! Saved for another rainy day.
-
Hail Caesar! Nicely done Bish, grass still needs a bit of resus but it's getting there. I'm pleased the goods finally swam your way.

The day we get a supercell, or near as damn it, we know where to possibly aim for, compare notes hehe..bit of track for me! If it also involves curry, popadoms, relish the thoughtHaha. I dont suppose when you say Curry house you mean Kaben at the top end of the high street if you have ever been through their before. Only voted one of the best curry houses in the Stourbridge area.
-
Perfect!!! If you happen to live in Belgium Lively enough today, max 22C min 16C during intense downpour. Plenty of sun in between, who needs plumes eh? Me, of course lol. It'll be a southerly flow bringing in warm, humid continental air once more.

Did the gnomes survive!!!!!!!!! seen several strikes up close and personal.Makes for eye watering viewing, when you don't hear the actual thunder, just see the blinding instant flash..then you're pretty close.God, that sounds bad.
-
If there's ever a place to hold a Mids convention, via a curry house lol.Enjoyed today - few starters, main course followed by dessert! SweetHello! Fantastic to have another local on board here! Im pretty much near Quarry Bank too.

Thundering down the M54, tea-time ish - had my TS fix to be fair, but something made me peel off at the A41 junction? few darkish bases looming large. Stopped for a quick resume of radar, hmmm, then a distant rumble? Still nothing spectacular, thunder got louder..instinct made me track back down the A41 towards Cosford..then boom! Pitch black, forked lightning, some intra cloud and boy one solid looking rain shield..
Kept going south again lol..direction I'd just came from, hit the wall of water...10 mph now crawling in low vis, instant pools of water, several more bright flashes..it just came from nowhere. Upon closer inspection of radar this potent area was minuscule! A tiny small dot of torrents but boy did it stand out from today's fun and games. Timed that one to a tee, a rarity in itself. To think I was driving away from a storm sends shudders down my spine lol
-
Had my fix..right beast Albrighton! Plus others Bloxwich, Cannock way...sadly yes, aiming for likes of Wton, storm starved Stourbridge Gornal areas hehe. What a wasteTriple x1.... Storm to our south heading for black country again. Boy do I miss living over there!
-
More thunder due SSW..nice structure to it, all systems go again.
-
Omg..another! Seems to be coming from Ludlow direction, small but potent..nice curtain of precip on that. Thunder heard still Shifnal..
-
Incredible that! From nowhere...see the white/black pixelled area N Wton/Albrighton/Codsall area - truly mind boggling deluge..not kidding. A roads flooded, got caught in a back lane, not good! Had to do a u- turn...oh yeah CGs shotgun thunder and storm 4 lol..
Just as I thought game over. Shiftnal atm, dark cloud facing west? Again? Surely no
-
Incredible storm, cloudburst Shropshire Staffs border, near Albrighton...from zero to flash floods, cgs and shotgun thunder. 4th one today in various spots Mids zone.
-
Ducked out from beneath the main action, cells seemed to die out Cannock way? More dark clouds due SW..with mammatus attached.
Now N Wton..
-
Update direct hit..here she blows!
-
Chase alert...ts number 3 fast approaching near Fishley Park, Bloxwich way..looking good! Final big swipe before it all clears away.
-
Screamer coming my way heading towards Newport from Shawbury...off for a closer look!

Wouldn't be surprised to see a few showers go pop later, skies have took on that kind of threatening appearance. Local but quite noteworthy.
