  1. I think it is everyone outside of Iceland, make sense as a post earlier on stated that they wished to use the cams for the emergency services. With a ban in place it would free up the bandwidth and stop the overloading that we have been seeing recently. They recommended the live stream in you tube to use but i do not know if that is working. 3dbulge have an interesting new feature that maps the quakes with an overlay of the island for a more accurate look at the quakes. http://baering.github.io/earthquakes/visualization.html
  2. you have to use a VPN (Virtual private network) to change your ip address to another somewhere else in the world. i.e usa The fissure is still showing steam venting at the moment so nothing has really changed since early today i think. try this link http://www.livefromiceland.is/e/ it worked earlier on.
  3. Heat haze would be my guess, made worse because i believe the camera is zoomed in on the steam vent area.
  4. The ash cloud from Rabaul is estimated to be around 60,000ft, al arge eruption. https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rabaul?src=hash some stunning pics on twitter.
  5. Only on UK Ip addresses, I am using an american ip address and they work fine.
  6. Could that be a result from the apparent melt water at the Kverkfjoll web cam today?
  7. Okay so it could be the lower resistance the lower the magnitude EQ needed to force it through the rock.
  8. The IMO update earlier today stated that they believed that it had only migrated northwards 1km since yesterday, which is a significant slow down in its migration northwards.
  9. I wonder if the magma intrusion in to the dyke is having problems with forward momentum. There has not been a >M3 since 3.42am today or frequent >M2.0 as there has been in recent days. Maybe it is because the magma is up against denser rocks now as it move towards Asjka. Don't know much, I am just speculating, more thoughts would be great.
  10. Morning All, http://vedur2.mogt.is/kverkfjoll/webcam/images/lon/m140827044002239.jpg Looks like some melting and also some cracking of the surface ice maybe?
