    I see that London and essex seem to be getting a fair share as to some south london parts. Loads of great webcams of the M25, and yes there is some it is clear on the M4.....junction 1 or 2 though and nothing after that west! ..how far does the Thames Streamer work? Think Paul Sherman was syaing that there seems to be potential stacking out in the North sea.....still as I write nothing in Newbury..just very cold. :lol: minus 2 i think.

    yeah i cant but I checked the thatcham weather station and it does appear to have increased. It also identifies the temperature as uncomfortably cold! Uk wind map shows north easterley to easterly winds ...perfect.

    ...it may then have to be the tin tray from B and Q if no luck? ...Alot more windier here now and I dont tink there is any snizzle anymore - I must go and check some sites of the speeds etc...wonder if the south coast it has picked up?

    OOh yes A34 and M40 would be a treat heh..lets hope yes day off. I have been meaning to get a camera for ages. think id better get one asap today! doesnt matter which type now!! ..back to snow has the wind picked up in Oxf aswell...or is it just me? ...ooh and while writing this the snizzle is now more like snow flurries.. Good I wasnt hearing things..yes think you will be in for some grains as well soon I hope...

    hey has anyone had the wind pick up recently ...or gust abit more?...it was all quiet just now and then a few gusts? ..quiet again .... but with it slightly larger snizzle...so must be a good.thing.

    never sure if Newbury is still south central but then I like to think I am as only up until recently an oxford girl..same with us though Jimblob, we have very light snow here...snizzle....

    Snow here in Newbury..about 2 to 3 cm or more. Look wet snow but has settled all on trees etc.......cool.

    just walked back from the pub and very gusty for oxford, dry and very mild. Quite lovely. Started off raining and very wet and nice to come back when it is dry.

    a colleague has some weather recording instruments and told me it recorded a max gust this morning of 113mph. He lives near Fleet I believe. 10 mm of rain. There was I recall a massive gust at about 6.30 this morning as it did coincide with my alarm. I am in Oxford. I would like to see a path of the recorded gusts if it was possible to collate...would be interesting. Well done to the NW team again. Always on the ball ...

    Plenty of ingrediants to think one is imminent..black and grey skies, and the wind has picked up alot making it feel like a fron coming through....but alas nothing here yet !

    Here in Oxford, I have the central heating on and it feels like autumn. Temps are 13 degrees c and 81 per cent humidity. Wish I knew mph of wind gusts but in last ten mins these were giving a good blow?...can anyone help me?...ooh but strangely just this second it has gone very very quiet..dark yes but then it is 21.40 hrs..or should it still be quite light.......

    ...words out of my mouth..interstingly the huge concrete building is left standing..but the residents homes poor souls which are made out of timber...timber I ask you? ...Come on American Government look after your people and build better homes for them or at least give these guys some grants to help build better shelters.....that would should be high on the environmental gender.....poor poor souls. my thoughts are with you...

    <br /><br /><br />..hi, dont know any weather specifics but i do know from a friend out there that it startd snowin at 1930 hrs in nyc. dont hav any other info than that..oh and that they all expecting (Via local media) pretty much what is written above. i e finish by thursday etc. hope that helps :-)
