  1. So after days of model watching it all boils down to a breif cold snap then? Was under the impression we were set for a long spell of cold setting in. But looks like we have all been made fools of by the models once again. But i guess a few days of cold and frosts is better than nothing i suppose. seems to me we will be heading back to a westerly regime in the not too distant future. Which would tie in well with rjs forecast. Looks like madden will be wrong though. So i guess every cloud has a silver lining.Posted Image

  2. Hi very new to all this. But must admit its very addictive lol. Just a few points just been on the model threat and gibby seems to think it may turn milder as next week progresses. Love frostys updates but apart of me feels he may be ramping it up slightly. Apologise if im wrong. I would certainly settle for a few frosts and colder weather for a few days over all this mild muck we have had to endure. But think it might be too early just yet for any snow round these parts. Anyway look forward to the winter ahead. And hopefully we wont go back to the horrible mild stuff in the near future.

  3. Well im pretty new to all this. But think im going to sit back relax and wait for whatever will be will be. Must admit i am a lover of cold and snow. But think im going to have to wait a while yet. Got a funny feeling what from ive seen and read so far that we could be looking at a near normal winter for uk and ireland this winter. Unless of coarse we all go and read a madden forecast. But im sure thats just a copy and paste forecast every single winter Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

  4. no I was questioning why you said south, since then you have corrected that to say north.

It is not really clear at the moment if W Yorks will be affected. To me it seems unlikely that the S-SW winds will be severe in that area. As the low tracks to the east of that area then W-NW'ly winds MAY touch severe gale for a short time but you need to keep your eyes on the Met O predictions and look at what Jo Farrow and Nick F are posting along with Ian F for reliable un hyped outlooks.

    ok thankyou for that
