    Would be happy to take this Autumn weather at Christmas after last years awful winter,least it's cold enough to be called winter weather,this Autumn with out doubt is the best for several years,not seen the colours this good and strong for a long time. Proper cold bonfire night was just a bonus,good old style shivering, wrapped up warm affair,lovely!

    Totally agree, I'm loving it so far,  lets just hope it continues,  but as we head towards Christmas I'm hoping we get to see some snow too.

    Yes me too but I'm hoping it cools down considerably by the end of the month a mild October wouldn't be my cup a tea. By the looks of things from what I have been reading on here we could be in for another mild Autumn and Winter, seriously hope not I always look forward to fogs, frosts and crisp sunny days great for walking the dogs plus it feels more seasonal for Halloween and Christmas. As for now though I agree we should enjoy it for now and make the most of it.

    The weather outlook have got some thoughts on Autumn and winter the summary of it is;

    "Some of the third party data is pointing towards a warmer and wetter than average autumn and a milder than average winter."

    An autumn forecast will be released tomorrow

    I truly hope not, my worst nightmare, I want hard frosts and sunshine, I know its been said over and over again but there are no seasons anymore they all roll into one and there is nothing exciting about that.

    I'd like a reasonably warm and dry autumn; September average highs around 22c with 180 hrs of sun, October averaging 17c with 150 hrs sun, November can have all the storms and cloud it wants as long as it's mild, around 12-13c.

    Hate the word mild for Oct and Nov, mild in those two months is not seasonal, not for me anyway.

    I'm hoping for the opposite! warm Sept, 25C, and dry, dry warm Oct, dry Nov, but as we all know it won't happen as high pressure becoming less frequent as years go on

    I'll take the warm and dry September but definitely NOT warm and dry for October I'd like frosts by then and very cold, and snow come November, it will not happen of course but one can dream.

    Just found the first Daddy Longlegs in the house this morning, always a sign of the coming season :)

    Yes we have them too. I've noticed the blackberries are out and some are already ripe sure signs that Autumn is near which I love.

    Not great here today very cloudy and looking like rain for the next 3/4 days.. warm temps but pointless when its raining...We can;t even get 2/3 days of sunshine ina row.. This is disgusting.. Am fed up to the back teeth of our climate.. I dont expect  summer after summer with record heat and hours or sunshine. But one decent summer now and then. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?.

    You can almost guarantee come Septmeber the pressure charts will be marvelous.. we just cant  get them  in the correct months of the year..

    We get no sun in the summer and most likely no snow in the winter, its all very boring to be honest.
