    Pouring with snow here in Freshwater and has been for the last hour, big flakes now everything covered. Temp 0.3C and falling!

    John Hammond was on the Jeremy Vine show at lunchtime and said that even the South Coast would see snow tomorrow! -3.5 here at the moment.

    This just issued by the met office, includes the IOW too, fingers crossed, sounds promising! Heavy Snow Tue 5 Jan There is a moderate risk of severe weather affecting east and southeast England. Outbreaks of sleet and snow will become heavier during Tuesday afternoon and evening, with an increasing risk of disruption to transport networks. Issued at: 1124 Mon 4 Jan

    It demonstrates how desperate the situation is if we have to rely on pressure rises over southern europe to get our winter weather. However it would help to cool the continent down a bit. Hope the ECM gives us some hope this evening!
