Alexa reckons I’ve got a 35% chance of rain or sleet tomorrow! Only 65% chance of snow.
@&#% off Alexa.

That's more like it, Dave! Ashford FTW!
Ashford never gonna win, lacks any kind of altitude and just a wrong spot but this time is gonna be a decent covering from 2am.

Be less smug. It is never guaranteed. Could well still rain. Some charts show this already.
Really? Which charts - haven’t seen 1!

Looking at the charts I'll have the lighter of the snow, in the middle o two of the heavier areas.
That's pinpoint accuracy. The charts just don't work like that. Your in the zone. That's best you can hope for at this point.

Mine has moved from the garage to the garden. Refuse to clean it until tomorrow too for fear it'll make it rain!

Oh the "its to wet to settle" gang
Yes its very cool when you see it! Its like how the is snow settling on wetness!
This afternoon i am constructing a large tarpaulin to stretch over the garden, at approx 2am I shall head outside to remove said tarpaulin and marvel how the snow settles on my garden whilst simultaneously melting on my neighbours veg patch.
As long as it is actually snow this time not rain!
(and I'm not actually serious for anyone who thought I might be - always one)

I'll be heading up onto Farthing downs, or possibly up to Kenley airfield, although the snow does pile up quite nicely in Happy Valley, when we get a decent fall of course.
Times like this I wish we were still living in Old Coulsdon... some fantastic snow events from there up to Caterham when I was growing up.

Also made the mistake of popping into the mod thread earlier. Loads of bickering about a potential breakdown 6/7 days away and virtually no discussion about the next 5 days. Think I'll stay out of there for a while.
Yes, early switch to a very regional focus now that a Nationwide event seems (at least for the immediate) off the cards.

Croydon Council have been updated with very interesting snow amounts too.
Snow will continue through much of Sunday and some locations will get 15 cm (5.9 inches). Snow showers during Monday & Tuesday with a further 4 cm (1.6 inches) in places. Temps will struggle to rise above freezing during the day.
Gritters/gritting teams are all primed and ready to go from Saturday evening.
Please bear in mind that Croydon Council are expecting the rain to quickly turn to snow during Saturday night.
Been cautious ever since getting caught with pants down in 2010

That's it! Jinxed! As soon as someone says, "Nailed on", you just know ...
Or as soon as you say “I know... I’ll live in Ashford”... the end of snow

Don’t forget us in E Sx Dave!
That latest MO video is a bit of a concern. Would be a real kick in the n**s for us if our corner maintained our record so far this winter of not even seeing a snowflake.
Sorry - i missed E Sx, was hard to see through the tears in my eyes.

Very much wishing I was in EA right now. Some great pics should come out of there in 3 days time.
