Things do look messy for the start of December, I do see some of our local members commenting on the MOD thread, hopefully they can enlighten us in here with their thoughts

Amber warning issued by MO covering south eastern part of NI, wet week ahead
-
Potential for the first big storm of 2023 on Wednesday as an area of low pressure approaches.
Various warnings already issued with the track of the low to still be determined

Absolutely awful Summer. Truly horrific.
I didn’t think today and this evening was bad for the 18th December, warmer than usual

Credit to the MetO, amber warning definitely required, snow drifts and about 8” covering on roads here

I wanted 20 hours of snow though not 12!
We're right on the pivot point of that low though. Snow is piling up into drifts.
There looks like a few more hours of it, it’s tuned to light snow flakes here, if it was heavy precipation I would be buried here

At least 10cm so far and still 9 hours of snow to come!
Your doing alright now

Temp 3 degrees, dew point 2.5. Rain all morning with the occasional hint of sleet but that’s it. Not even the joy of watching flakes fall!!! Dublin snow shield in full effect here AGAIN!
This big red mass looks to be heading your way, showing green for sleet at the minute but fingers crossed

Should have been here at 9am, now showing 12
For my location, MetO has been showing heavy snow from 12 for the past couple of days

This finest snow is starting with us at Nutts Corner
yes MS, taking an age to move
any reports from the south?
-
MetO have updated the warning curtailing the northern extent but still keeping NI within a yellow warning, I would have thought reading the text we would have been upgraded to amber due to the timings of snow fall with home time traffic

Thanks for that because I've been struggling to see where this heavy precipitation is coming from.
Been looking too far South West.
With Sat24 you can watch and track movements on a wide scale

Yes. From the streamer, angled perfectly for Glengormley.
Frustratingly, about 5 miles North for me. Maybe get lucky later.
What’s your thoughts on tomorrow / Friday MS?

Interesting week coming up, kicking off tomorrow night into Tuesday with temps down as low as -5, Tuesday into Wednesday temps down to possible -7, snow forecasted and a generally chilly week

Based on radar I would have assumed members on the north coast should be receiving some snow?
